OT: Miley Cyrus scored a Billboard nomination for Top Rock Album. Good for her! Her album was #2 on the B200 and #1 Rock album so her move away from pop paid off.
She saw she was fighting a losing battle with the IT Pop and Rap divas (and Taylor Swift, lol) so she moved on to
a more hospitable genre. Of course she has a major, RCA, behind her so that likely made the transition easier. But when I see rock and glam rock listed on her wiki page, it seems she means business and wants that recognition. And she is willing to leave the divas behind and play with the boys. Bieber also got several R&B nominations and Carrie Underwood in country and Christian. I guess if you have a big enough name, or a major label behind and supporting you, there is no one box for you. You can go and compete anywhere you want.
