His fans will buy his music for sure .. but if it leaks everywhere ,the newbies will down load for free. I really feel sad for singers today,they can't make any money except when they tour or sell merchandise. We all know how great Adam's merchandise is.. Haven't worn my Adam shirts except to bed..Hmm that's not so bad! Look how fast the leak made it around the Twitter universe. If it hadn't leaked, when the single officially dropped at iTunes or Amazon, the same promulgation would have happened instantly. Just 4 days later. I have no reason to believe that someone would illegally download it for free today, whereas if it hadn't leaked, would spend the $1 on the 20th. Those who believe in purchasing music to support the artist will do so. Those who think it should be free or that "everyone is doing it" or that the artist makes tons of money in other ways will get the song for free no matter when it leaks. But, I like the integrity of this forum in not publicly posting the links. Thanks. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Cassie!! I DO NOT get the drama. People can illegally d/l on Tuesday just as easy as they can do it today. Fans will pay for it 10x over at first opportunity. those who are going to illegally download will do it regardless. I fully expected the song to stream this weekend on AO, it's an extremely common practice to build Word-of-Mouth. Remember when we got GNL streaming live? And I know I had all of FYE before release yet still bought a few hard copies (one for house, one for car, one to save, unopened, for future autograph) and a digital copy for iPod. I LOVE IT!!!! And will have my iTunes account FIRED UP come Tuesday. And AO!!! |
