The AO version is making me CRY. It feels good to cry at beauty -- let the music in that deeply. There is a feeling of comfort and reassurance in the midst of so much pain. Like Adam is telling me he knows, and understands. That is how I feel.

IT IS BETTER!!! And now that the whole single is out there for everyone to hear, I hope it's okay if I go ahead and just put what I think about it here... *the opening instrumental bit—organ? electronica? whatever, it’s short, not too long, but intrigues me immediately *the breath before the first word--fuck, I’m lost in his BREATHING before the singing has even begun *the drum/beat—moves me every time…I've listened so many times today, my heartbeat is synched to it now!!buh-bu-b-BUM…buh-bu-b-BUM (where’s that new bum pic, lol?) *the voice—PLEASE. Emotional. Vulnerable. Intense. Low register, high register, soaring glory notes. And he should always do his own harmonies IMO. I notice new notes every time I listen. *the bridge—beautiful, simple--lyrics, melody, the whole thing. I really hope he’s responsible for the bridge and gets credit for it. *the production—perfect. Finally, a balance between the “sounds” Adam likes and the beauty of that voice. ITA with everyone about this song being an earworm. It’s not a classic, it’s not going to be his biggest song ever,* but it’s GREAT for Adam’s purpose--it’s going to be a radio hit! Adam wants to be a POP star and this is a fan-fucking-tastic single to further that goal. It “fits” on radio. *One day he is going to create a truly iconic song. It probably WON”T “fit on radio”—but it will be so undeniably mind-blowingly GREAT and SPECIAL that we will all recognize it as iconic. Maybe it’s already on Trespassing—can’t wait to find out! But if not, I’ll know it’s going to happen sooner or later. It’s inevitable. And in the meantime, I will LOVE hearing BTIKM on the radio! I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY FOR HIM! AND FOR US! I'll never get caught up, but I am so glad I am here to "talk" today! ILHSFM |
