@parsaregina: Glambert's 🎀 Happy friday to you all lovelies 🎈 Credit to pic owner. /photo/1 Dancy, love ya so don't take this personally as I've seen several of these "credit to pic owner" posts in the last couple of weeks and I don't pay attention to who posts them, I was just in a replying mood today I guess. I know we've talked here about some of the tweeters etc who think that wording is acceptable because "I'm not saying I took it myself" when they still don't post the actual name of the owner. I guess I'm of the mind that such tweeters shouldn't get rewarded by having their tweets posted here at ATOP? I know I may miss out on some goodies and ATOP doesn't need to be the twitter woke police but it just seems ([pick1] off, sleazy, uncouth, lazy, bad) behavior of the twitterer to be repeating. What do you think? I understand that in the scheme of things it's mostly inconsequential, and that I'm asking peeps to screen versus just share goodies, which in turn can lead to "well I just won't post anything then" which is by far an unwanted result. And in return often leads to "just scroll if you see something" & "let twitter police twitter" replies which I mostly agree with too anyway. Maybe the fandom has just decided that at least they are saying they didn't take the picture and that's better than what they used to do. And then what about the tweeters that post pics but don't say anything about the owner at all - are they any better or just not as up-front? Hmmm, I can argue both sides! Care to discuss?

I‘m not Dancy, but I would like to give my 2 Cents. I hope, that’s okay. Most of these pictures are taken at concerts by fans. When I look at my tickets, there’s always written, that filming and taking pictures of the show is not allowed. Adam (and Queen or actually most acts) never object to it though, so fans take pictures and film. But they never had the right to do it in the first place. So their „copyright“ actually doesn’t exist. This would only apply to credited photographers. There are even fans, who take a simple screenshot (for instance of Adam‘s Instagram story) and put their name on it and say they own the „copyright“. Well no. They actually violated Adam’s copyright. There had once been a fight between Brian May and a fan. That fan had officially accused Brian of violating her Copyright, because he had reposted her picture of himself. Twitter had closed his account because of that. That’s absolutely ridiculous and he got in right in the end. So in my opinion, as long as it isn‘t a picture taken by a credited pro, the pics were illegally taken. If the fans publish them on the internet, they have to expect that others copy, save or repost them. If they don’t want that, keep them they should keep them to themselves. And yes, I‘ve posted my own pics from QAL shows, too.
