Just had my morning listen to BTIKM, and I LOVE the song, and I love (attempting) to sing along to it, LOL. Also, I really feel the lyrics when Adam sings them, and they hit a real chord with me, so I don't feel any cheese factor. My review? 5 AFL stars. My husband really likes it, too. And he is a casual and honest fan. ETA: WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW MEMBERS!

Going back to the Sunday Times article (because I can't not go back to it , I think this short paragraph is perfect: "Two years into a national tour of Wicked, Lambert decided to get out of theatre and start making music. He briefly fronted a garage band, did session singing and worked with producers who would come back to sue him when he became famous."It tells what Adam's done musically, because it's important that people know he didn't just come out of the blue; It refers to CV as a side-note in his musical career; And the last few words show me the positive attitude of the writer (if I hadn't noticed it yet). A+!

Happy Birthday QueeenAl, keylie and tbaker2167!!! Stealing this! ;D Happy birthday to everyone!! You share bdays with some MAJORLY talented people, including Steven Spielberg, Brad Pitt and Christina Aguilera. (My famous bday peeps list is kind of meh...) *whew* Just finished reading yesterday's thread and this one too. I was also very shocked to see that mika was listed as a guest. And was very worried that there was some kind of trouble ahead in the thread, but no, everything seemed fine. :-/ Welcome Blueberry and anyone else I might have missed. Thank you again everyone for all the birthday wishes. It was a great day. Had a wonderful time berting with my local Adam friends in the afternoon. Such an exciting time!! So much love for him all over. As I left to go to my family/RL friend party, I glanced at Twitter and saw the Times article. OMG!!!! I should have read it right then and there, but I was afraid I'd be late, so was reading a couple of lines at a time when stopped at red lights. It is GLORIOUS!!! So excited about all these reviews!! I really hope this song will lay a proper foundation for both critical and commercial success for him. Going to be such an exciting time. I am REALLY hoping for "X Factor." There are just too many variables that make it make complete sense, including: • RCA/Sony connection • Claude connection • Single release being moved up to an unorthodox date • Adam flying directly back to L.A. after Shanghai and NOT to Finland • The silence about any single promo (sekrits and more sekrits) • Simon/Paula connection • His success helps validate the legitimacy of competition shows Like most finales, XF has been very quiet about who would be performing. All the rumored people (save for Mariah and Bieber) have ended up on previous shows. Bieber taped his performance last week and they DID bring in an audience for it. Some friends who have gone to many of the XF shows this year were trying for finale tickets. They received an invite to go to a "special taping" last week, but then found out it was for Bieber and took a pass. IF Adam is there, I don't think it will be taped, but live.

I kind of hesitate to ask this, but it may be the only way to get an answer, "Does anyone know why Mika left?" All his posts say "guest" now, and he is not listed as a member. I don't know, but it makes me very sad that he felt the need to leave.

Wow we do seem to have alot of new members lately - YAY!!! Question of the day: is Adam going back to LA right away or is he going to Finland?? Anybody know? Anybody wanna guess? ??? I honestly hope he is not coming to Finland. No foreigner should be allowed to visit Finland when the weather is like it is now. Most Finns should leave too. And seriously I don't think this fits in his scedule now, I am expecting him on March during the promo tour. That cold huh?! Brrrrrrrr!!! So do we know if Sauli celebrates Christmas? What's the main religion in Finland - Christian? Catholic?

If your friend is Psychy I don't think she is doing Adam any favors. AfterElton has been by far THE SECOND MOST SUPPORTIVE of ALL the gay media sites. Only Autostraddle beats them. They were VERY supportive during the whole Aaron Hicklin OUT mag thing taking Adam's side and calling out Hicklin for his bullshit. Towleroad, Queerty and Gawker are the one's she should be having a cow about. Have you personally read the site? I have been reading AfterElton daily since Adam hit the scene and they are far more respectful of him than most of the other sites. They just don't fanboy over him and that's perfectly fine. I have seen many comments from Adam fans unfortunately that take offense WAY too easily. A while back someone got pissy with them because they didn't immediately mention something that happened with Adam but if that person had been paying attention they would have been able to understand that just at that time they were EXTREMELY shorthanded and many things just got left by the way side for a few days because one person was trying to keep up with 3 peoples work load. That was about the time that someone started this running theme of blasting them for supposedly not supporting Adam. I really would hate to see one of the few sites that covers him decently turned against him by a few overzealous fans. They were also one of the few sites that regularly defended his right to wait until Idol was over to officially say "I'm Gay" even though they did wish he would. They understood and laughed at anyone's idea that Adam was in any sort of "closet". My friend is NOT Psychy. She hasn't been able to post comments so that's why she wrote the letter to the editor. LOL Maybe you guys missed my ETA - that I'm not recommending clicks to the site. I should have added that ( I agree) - us Bert's arguing with them is counter-productive. And no, I don't visit the site often. But I have to say I've seen some pretty snarky stuff and very bad pictures from them and not much good at all. And if you say there are a lot of people complaining in comments, at least some folks agree with my friend. HOWEVER, you seem very knowledgeable about the site and I know you're a big fan of BB, so I'll take your word for it that they are big supporters. Hope you're right. Maybe my friend is just over-protective. Go figure. PLEASE - don't anyone get me wrong. I don't want to launch an attack on After Elton. I just saw that review and thought, well, consider the source. No I didn't say there were a lot of people complaining. There have been a few over the course of my reading that would come in with seemingly no knowledge of the site and criticize which to start with is bad form. The latest has been this Psychy person who has been bashing them repeatedly despite being proved wrong in many of her complaints. The things that she objects to mystify me. I read AfterElton regularly because other than Autostraddle it is the only gay site that doesn't routinely go all bitchy queen on things. Most of the regular commenters are sane and rational. But if an Adam fan goes there looking for gushing about Adam they are not going to find it. There is very little gushing about anything just sane rational discussion for the most part. They have actually tried to reason with Psychy but have given up because she insists on taking offense to everything. I would recommend giving clicks to their site. ETA: BTW I am talking about the articles themselves and the comments on the articles not what may take place in the forums which could be an entirely different story. But a casual reader would probably not delve into the forums anyway.

What's the main religion in Finland - Christian? Catholic? No could, no snow, both of them would be great and that is what we should have at this time of year. Instead we have dark and rain. (And I mean DARK, since no sun and no snow to bring light). But January will be great: could and snow. And March even better if it goes as I am predicting

Wow we do seem to have alot of new members lately - YAY!!! Question of the day: is Adam going back to LA right away or is he going to Finland?? Anybody know? Anybody wanna guess? ??? The Chinese fans got confirmation before he even arrived that he would be flying back to LAX on 12/19. Of course, they were hoping he'd make additional appearances while there, but they were told "no" by whomever they coordinated with for the airport welcome and that he was returning to L.A. the next day.
