Adam has done great work and has been very visible during Pride Month. But he has also had a big impact and been a great role model for his community. Probably not the reason he was chosen but it is a big deal to be chosen to have a song on the Obama Netflix series. Performing at a fundraiser for the JB administration and interviewing Mayor Pete leading up to the election. When things get back to normal, I hope he will finally get invited to the White House or some of their related activities to perform for some event. During Obama's run, Idols Kelly, Scotty Mccreery (a staunch conservative), Jhud, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips got the honor to perform at some of their events. I think it would mean a lot to many to see Adam get such an honor. He certainly has represented himself and his community very well with his advocacy, positive visibility and his foundation. I hope he remains of their radar when they start some performance related events in the future.

For years, I've dreamed that Adam would get his chance to perform at one of these types of events. Yes, he has been able to dip his toe into a few, like the Mayor Peter interview. He would be a perfect choice to perform at a White House event for numerous reasons, especially since several other Idols have gotten the chance. He's worked hard on positive causes that are meaningful to so many. He's an activist, well-spoken and smart. Hope it happens for him. He has earned it. Just watched that guy see Adam performing Believe. He's a nice guy, quite a character. What struck me a bit was that he understood the difference between falsetto and simply singing a high note. So many people just don't get that concept. It always amazes me when someone has never heard of Adam. LOL

She is trying to get more people to get vaccinated. The interviewer asked her why more celebrities fail to get involved as she does. She said some feared the backlash but she hoped that more would use their platform for things other than makeup and getting naked. It is one thing to fight for your right to twerk on an awards show or video. Another to speak out about BLM or LGBT Equality or gun control or voting rights and equal rights, etc. Many celebs are afraid of losing an audience or a backlash. No one is expected to get involved in everything but some are afraid to stand for or speak up on anything. Adam is one celebrity who is not afraid to speak out or lend his name to various causes. And he has the status to get his name mentioned when he does.

I've watched a few of the Ammaron reaction videos also...I do think he's impressed by Adam's talent. I also think, however, he likes the Glambert attention and the views lol. Of course he does, and he admits openly that the whole point of the Reactions channel is to gather a following for his other adventures (learning to play the piano). However, other than Shawn Stackhouse who would watch but not say anything meaningful about the performances, Ammaron actually reacts to what he just saw and heard. (But the best reaction I saw was a whole minute of silence after the song finished, looking at the screen in disbelief ) And while he knows very little about singers, bands, or Queen in particular, he does share a lot of thoughts. So much so that some of the songs get two videos instead of one because he goes over his 10 min. limit. I am not pushing anyone to watch all his videos, but if you ever want to revisit a favorite performance like WWTLF or Believe, he is a good company.

Oh, I did enjoy his videos...I think I started out with Believe, just because I never get tired of hearing that performance. I only watched his video of WWL as far as AI performances. I hate the "reaction" videos where the person basically just watches the video and tells you to like and subscribe. Ok then. You can tell, they have no interest in what they're watching. There are a couple of guys on YT that I just love to watch...one is John Henry Vocal Studio, goes into minute details about the physicality of singing...and the other is Yazik...and JustTheVoice.

OT, but it's way too early in the year to be this frickin' hot...100 today, and we live about 10 minutes from the beach.
I'm melting already and summer hasn't even started yet. Yikes.
I HATE summer. If I wanted those kind of temps, I would move to Arizona, or Florida...I live in Cali, for heaven's sake.

OT: the Central Park SummerStage is back in business! Tonight was the opening night with Winton Marsales and other jazz musicians. It was magical tbh. So, things are staring to look up in NYC, hopefully GMA will be back there as well.
