Sooo... Can I assumed that RCA has been a slacker and has not submitted WWFM for Platinum certification? What about FYE??? Is it possible that the shippment of FYE haven't reached 1mil yet? After pondering on it Adamme I think RCAEd said they know Adam reached Platinum but never submitted it to be certified because it would just be a waste to have a shiny plaque when the money can be used for other things. FYE album has shipped platinum abroad but it's stalled out at 830K here. - ok whose pic did you use for your avi? I find myself staring at it. LOL |

With no special performance seemingly lining up with the single release, ive been wondering if the early release was partly to test market strength in various areas to help determine where to focus money and promo and to keep media momentum going after EMA's?

Q102 - THey won't put up BTIKM until the "Takeover" contest starts which is near 8 pm EST!
Also for those of you voting, scroll up on the Q102 site near the left and the is a poll asking who is the greatest Jingle Bell performer. hit that he is competing against Katie Perry. He is ahead but not by much. I would like to see him win this. What is the win worth? I guess bragging rights plus more exposure on their site.

They asked RCAed about that on AO last year. He said they didn't care about those types of awards and that they would submit them for certification when Adam wanted to and not before. Well something like that anyway. Seemed to be along the lines of they only wanted to submit once and not for the little blips on the way to higher numbers. So I think they use the term platinum selling vs platinum certified. Also, that was old RCA. The new RCA submits for certification at 241,000!! (Daughtry) Yes, I know certification is albums shipped which was probably a million based on their exectations, but if I were an artist and my album got certifieed Gold with only 241,000 in retail sales, I'd be embarrassed! :-/ |
