Hmmmm, haven't caught up yet with the thread, but I don't see this as a big deal. I actually see great publicity (not planned) for the song. Am I weird or do I just live too close to Hollywood? :-/ No, I think you are right on. It is odd how Adam's singles parallel his real life -- For example, he released WWFM 3 days before the AMA mess. What was a pretty simple pop song written by someone else became a bigger message and a song owned by Adam. Now he releases another love song, that is a bit of a confession. A song written by someone else. And then his live unfolds to illustrate the song. No one can plan this stuff. No PR person would ever plan this stuff. But somehow it seems to happen to Adam. >>> If this was movie script, no one would buy it. Way too odd the way the music and his life follow each other. <<<

I think she may have meant ATOP "rule" #4 -- not criticizing other posters or telling them what to post/not post thanks! NoAngel's explanation was probably right--but I think the ATOP rule would be good to keep in mind today

May I just say, as NoAngel and rabbitrabbit posted, I HATE the fact that this site is now fair game for entertainment sites as a source of news.
We are just fans discussing things. We should not be used as a second hand source of news. It is not fair to us as a fan community to have to censor anything we say or bring over here. Contact people directly or go to twitter to find things out straight from the source.
Q3, I think we should consider adding a disclaimer at the top of every page on this site, saying something like "This site reflects the OPINIONS of some Adam Lambert fans and should not be taken as a source of news" or something. I'm sure our lawyers who post here can help us phrase it.

Wow..surprise, surprise My initial reaction. sadz but wondering what provoked Adam to cry. Yes drinking is a factor but to cry someone must be saying something hurtful. Then to take the argument outside is crossing the lines. If indeed my future friend, boyfriend or husband caused me such pain, that would be it. Relationship only get harder as time goes on, once the lust wears down. I have my repeatedly told my boys never ever to even think of raising a hand to another person. BOth are old enough to control drinking and I don't care if he tired. just not acceptable. Jealousy is a demon. Well this incident will give the press something to bring up during his single release unless he puts out the word this topic is taboo. oh well onto more joyous topics. THe holiday is upon us, off tomorrow and so excited. It doesn't at all have to be like that. My husband made both me and himself cry many times because of his jealousy in the beginning of our relationship. But quite soon, little by little he learned that there's no reason to be afraid of me cheating him and we are very happy being together for over 20 days.

Juniemoon, I agree with everything in your post.
The Gaga incident + this will just reinforce the impression that Adam can get out of control when drunk. I do not see any win in this either.
I know people have different opinions about drinking and I respect that. I have seen however first hand the evil of alcoholism (not implying Adam is an alcoholic but when you see lots of pictures of him always with a drink in his hand, it causes me to worry). My aunt's husband was an alcoholic and I as a little girl witnessed him beating up my aunt while in a drunken stupor. And there were many, many more incidents after that. I did not feel sorry at all when he died from a damaged liver.
OK, enough from my soap box.

yeah, had to admit this has crossed my mind a few times. have a feeling not a popular opinion to hold and should not be spoken, but thanks for saying it. I've never been one to care if it's a popular opinion or not. It's reality. If this were anyone else, like Durbin or Cook or Kris we'd be outraged at this behavior. It does Adam no favors to excuse this away as being meaningless or all good because any press is good press. NO, he needs to get himself under control and if he can't handle his alcohol better than that he should stop drinking. Will this ultimately hurt him careerwise? no, I don't think it will because sadly this kind of behavior from celebrities is the norm. I always hoped and thought Adam would be above this. Wonderstruck, I'm behind what you're saying. But let's not forget, Sauli apparently wasn't sober either when this went down. Takes two and all that. Let's just say that both A&S might benefit from a little self-reflection today, and wish them a good outcome from last night.

I deleted my last post. I have no desire to be quoted elsewhere saying anything less than positive about AFL. Too bad we have to worry about that here. I'll just reiterate:

Hmmmm, haven't caught up yet with the thread, but I don't see this as a big deal. I actually see great publicity (not planned) for the song. Am I weird or do I just live too close to Hollywood? :-/ Well, I don't live anywhere near Hollywood and I don't think it's a big deal. If anything, the fact that it's happening over the holidays means that even if it does get reported on E or Access Hollywood or places like that, then most people won't even hear about it as they will be too busy during the holidays. Also, I hate the assumption that the fault is somehow Adam's alone. It sounds like his BF was also a part of it and he, too, is a celebrity, especially in Finland. And seriously, no one got hurt--they've both been released already. I think, if anything, Adam has learned this week that he is officially a global superstar and celebrity and he cannot just go about his business and think he will be left alone, even in Europe. Frankly, my biggest fear for him is that he does not have enough security sometimes. If I were his mom, I would be worried all the time about this. Anyway, I don't think it is a big deal and if anything, it shows once again that Adam is a huge star if something like this incident gets covered so much in the press. He is lovely in all ways, but not always perfect. But I really don't expect him to be. And in the end, I just want to hear the guy sing!

I think you live to close to hollywood LOL He's not making a Disney movie! He's releasing a Pop song. Why would this need any damage control? Sorry, just do not see it! Sorry, who said this needs damage control? It is what it is. Adam got drunk, acted like an asshole and ended up in jail in a foreign country. This has nothing to do with what type of music he's releasing or who his base audience is. It has everything to do with acting and behaving like an adult. This in no way, shape or form should be viewed as a win for Adam. JMO

The Gaga incident was Adam dancing with his hands up and causing some minor damage to the ceiling. Perez lied about him being asked to leave and lied about him not being invited. Basically, there was no Gaga incident except in Perez's Gaga induced brain. And, in my brain, the Helsinki incident probably has more to do with a combination of Jet Lag and alcohol than just alcohol. Both guys have tweeted about how tired and jet lagged they are. Add some drinking, in a party + Holiday atmosphere and bang!! And if Adam does have a problem with drinking, which I don't think any of us can say he does (was he even drinking in Miami?), then he has many very close friends and a close family that can talk to him about it. But really, we know nothing about Adam's personal life. Nothing. We think we do, but we don't.
