In answer to the questions -- yes, we have members who are also reporters.
In addition, about 5,000 unique visitors have been here in the past 24 hours -- some members, some not.
We had an unusually high spike in traffic from Finland since the news broke.

The domesitc violence story will fade rapidly. First, whatever happened was in public. More importantly, it was a bar fight -- very different than having the police called to Adam's house to break up dispute. It is hard to have a domestic violence story if their is no one claiming to be a victim.
My guess is that the story that will live is the substance abuse story. And IF Adam has alcohol abuse issues to deal with, that is something he is very capable of addressing in a compelling way in interviews.
And when he is ready to talk about this, there will be many interview opportunities.
I hate to say it but this will almost certainly help Adam gain some cred. His pop music career has been hindered a bit by two factors -- I do not believe these but have read these critiques so many times online:
1. He is a theater boi acting like a rock star but not really one. He is not authentic, he is not real.
2. He became famous on Idol. I heard/read this one too many times "No musician I like and care about would go on a reality TV show. They are all boring, good kids." (I cleaned that one up.) We all know that Adam is not boring but many people who do not follow Idol only vaguely know him as the gay one from Idol.
I am really not being a "Pollyanna" about this. He will be fine, probably better than fine.

scroll alert Just my own opinion but I really have no interest in knowing what posters at MJ's think about anything to do with Adam. I do know where her site is and can go there if I'm interested in finding out. It is enough for me to follow the opinions of the members here. well.. I do apologize but sometimes some peps doesn't want to go there but want to know what happened there.. well at least sometimes that happened to me. But you can delete my post if you think that's inappropriate. I'm just responding to Q3 that said Adam has angel that protecting him and I connected that with the assumption that he keeps on getting a free pass |

I'd been convinced that Adam should get out of Dodge. What do you guys think? Is he ok to stay where he is? No way! 2 guys get drunk, in a bar, and have a scuffle...... if it wasn't Adam, it'd be no news. :-/ adamme, I wonder how one gets "dropped by Idol?" LOL!  |

Wow. Adam and his peeps aren't missing a trick promoting this new single!  Let's see. Song about quarrelling.... Headlines about singer and boyfriend quarreling outside a gay bar in Helsinki of all places. That'll keep the tongues wagging over the holidays and Adam on all the gossip shows and sites through the holidays. Just in time for the add dates and single promo (for a song about lover's quarrelling) to kick into high gear. And, really, Finland is a nice touch. It's - I don't know - so European! Kudos. Gotta love rock n' roll. |

FFS she has worked with and is great friends with gay boys.... IDGI Any suggestions how to respond please?? Not reactionary, but intelligent, rational responses would be good!!!! ETA: This was posted as her status, not directly to me, and she doesn't mention his name, but seems pretty obvious.... Yes, ask her if she always believes eveything she reads in dirt rags or is it OK because the person is: a) gay b) Adam |

How do we remind the press that Adam has a great new single out.. Let's get I tunes rocking again.. Nice thought -- I had the same idea since it in now in the low 30's on iTunes. A couple/three ideas: Post a link to videos in the comments on articles? Send a few emails with comments about the article that are intelligent and nice -- and just happen to mention the single? Maybe tie the song message to the event? But I would caution to be careful, toughtful and nice to the reporters. Many of these news outlets posted nice things about BTIKM and video links -- like Perez. If they run a celebrity blog, their job is to bring their readers news about celebrities behaving poorly. And today, Adam is on that list. |

Just remind her that all we know for a fact in this matter is what the police told us, and that is: a. Nothing was going on when the police arrived to the scene. b. No one was injured. c. No charges were pressed by anyone. |

Well, the few of all the press pieces that I have read haven't said that this was acceptable behavior. Is she reading/hearing otherwise? I don't think anyone on Atop has said it is okay to shove or hit or whatever was going on. On second thought, maybe TMZ is all giggling and laughing--but they do that about everything. Like you, I don't know what else to say, so my jaw just drops--especially at the gay. Maybe she is saying that because it is two men, who are generally "allowed" to be more physical in a rough way. |
