AdamNews_de AdamNews_de "Whataya Want From Me" was one of the most successful songs in German broadcast in 2010 based on royalty turnover! - tl.gd/f0b9cu www.twitlonger.com/show/f0b9cu"Whataya Want From Me" was one of the most successful songs in German broadcast in 2010 based on royalty turnover! According to German GEMA (Society for Musical Performing and Mechanical Reproduction Rights) "Whataya Want From Me" was one of the most successful songs on air based on the turnover of GEMA royalties you have to pay to play a song publicly in Germany (e.g. radio, disco, etc.). Due to its major success on the radio and a remarkable usage on TV (one spot as theme music for the weekly equivalent of "Hell's Kitchen" and numerous plays as background music for various other TV shows) it gained a satisfying 5th place in their chart for 2010! However, unfortunately this doesn't all this money goes to Adam as GEMA gives the collected royalties to the actual authors (songwriters, componists, publishers) which in this means Pink and her team. Anyway, it still shows the remarkable success of Adam's song in Germany! www.adamnews.de/2011/12/28/whataya-want-from-me-war-2010-einer-der-erfolgreichsten-radiohits

I know of one house with a sauna. Most "work out" facilities have one. Sometimes called steam rooms instead. Many of the newer tub enclosures can be more sealed off so the steam stays in. Too hot for me, hubby loves. I'm a hot tub person, ooo yah. It might be a regional distinction, but traditionally saunas and steam rooms are two very different things (in U.S.). However, the names get mixed up sometimes. Saunas: Dry heat, all wood with a glass door. Heat is generated by hot rocks that you can put water on to create steam, but it quickly dissipates. Steam rooms: Wet heat, made of tile with glass door. It's hooked up to plumbing like a giant shower without shower heads, but steam valves. Steam is pumped in and controlled by a thermostat and timer. Usually eucalyptus is added. juniemoon, if you're trying to re-size photo via Photobucket, you need to save new version as a copy. ( Seoulmate taught me this.) Sometimes it takes awhile for the new version to replace the old version on the site. The link will still link to unedited version of the photo. If you reduce and save as copy, the copy will be the smaller size immediately.

No. Probably only once or twice in my life, decades ago. You hardly ever see them. But, I have recently moved to a part of the US (Minnesota) that was settled by Scandinavian immigrants and not as diverse in it's melting pot-ness (because who else would move to this ridiculously cold area!). While house hunting we saw a few houses that had small sauna's in them. We had to ask the realtor what the deal was since it seemed so odd. We've also learned of "swedish pancakes" and almost everyone here is Lutheran. There's even an accent here that sounds a bit Swedish. So interesting to be in a part of the US with such undiluted heritage. I do miss the diversity though. I Finland practically every one-family house has a sauna. I actually know only one withóut. And selling a house without a sauna is like selling a house without kitchen or toilet . And all apartment houses have common saunas and you can reserve a weekly time for your family. Unless of course you have a sauna in your flat. Also most offices have sauna quarters for company entertainment purposes or for employees to have off-time together. So you cannot really escape sauna . Interesting. It's amazing to hear such random information from other countries and cultures, especially when it is from real people, not from a travel magazine or brochure. I'm not a real sauna fan, same as a few have mentioned, little claustrophobic, also don't like to just sit and sweat. We have a hot tub on the back deck and it is heaven, especially on the rare occasions we get snow. Last winter it only snowed once, late in the evening, so we ran out and jumped in the hot tub, as huge snow flakes floated down. The woods behind the house made us feel as if we were in a winter wonderland.

when do you all think Adam taped this message? Based on the background and clothing, he taped this at the same time as all of the holiday greetings, so well before Christmas and "The Incident". Adam Lambert is so fucking interesting, isn't he? I really can't wait even more to hear the rest of the songs, now. "Dark side," "come on in, if you dare"? Interesting.

Hey, you guys. I hope I don't regret giving my opinion on this. I've hesitated since the first day. It's still emotional for many of us. I wouldn't appreciate being berated for sharing. I don't think there's equivalency with brawling with a non-lover. When I first heard about the incident, I thought Adam had fought with Niko. A fight with Niko, or Monte, or Perez or whoever, wouldn't be the same to me as fighting with Sauli. I still have very icky feelings about that. Adam had described his relationship with Sauli as "healthy." I loved that. Having a public meltdown with a dear one doesn't seem healthy at all. Nothing like fighting with a third party. Can't speak for anyone else, but that's what still "skerrs" me about the incident and why for me it is still hard to let it go. I can understand where you are coming from but I would like to point out that there is a huge difference between having a public meltdown with a dear one and having a vodka+jetlag infueled public meltdown with a dear one. Yes it was stupid but there is literally no person on this earth who can guarantee what their behavior will be like under the influence. When he starts having public fights with Sauli without benefit of alcohol THAT is when I will be squicked out. It was ill advised and ultimately embarrassing but to think of either of them as abusive based on ONE widely misreported incident is in many ways irresponsible as well. This is the catch 22 in trying to raise awareness about abuse. Sometimes mountains are created out of molehills. I don't think I have ever attended any kind of party or get together that involved alcohol that didn't have at least one incident that could have been reported and blown out of proportion in this same way had it involved someone famous. ANYONE is capable of becoming pushy and even violent when under the influence and it is not necessarily because of any lack of character. When you are disoriented due to drink or even exhaustion you can perceive a situation as threatening thus actually creating a fight where none would have existed otherwise. Oddly enough in my mind this kind of relates to the reason I will not groom a dog that has been given a mild sedative. Unless the dog is completely unconscious it becomes impossible to predict their behavior and even a dog that would normally be easy to handle can react viciously when disoriented. Also as to having a meltdown with a dear one being unhealthy I think that depends on what one considers a meltdown. The discussions my family had over dinner even when we were all in agreement on an issue would be considered knock down drag out fights by some people. A couple of weeks ago the morning DJ at the station I listened to asked for people to call in if they had ever started a fight with their significant other for no reason whatsoever just to have make-up sex. He was absolutely blown away by the number of women who called in saying that they would start fights with their partners just to "spice things up". Some even admitted that they kept pushing to the point of physical pushing and shoving in order to get the kind of hot physical sex they were looking for. But beyond all that Adam has repeatedly said that he has a dark side and he can be difficult. Long before this latest song came around he has said he can be obnoxious and that he has problems with jealousy and possessiveness but that he is working on it. The very fact that he is aware of these issues and acknowledges that he needs to work on them is one of the reasons that I am not in the least worried about them. They will work it out or they won't but I am confident that even if they don't work it out they will have given it their best shot. The fact that Adam has kept so many loyal friends for so many years also tells me that he is at heart a decent person and will ultimately do his best. Beyond that none of us are close enough to the situation to be of any judge as to whether there is a problem or not. Given that the police stated that there was absolutely no evidence of any injury, if this had happened to friends of mine I'd be ragging on them for the public drunkeness for sure but we'd probably all be laughing our asses off about it.

With co-writes...there is obviously a splitting the money on a royalty. I assume that when only a few songs are released as singles...the album sales would be the main source of generated revenue for the writers. (???) Anyone really know the scoop on this concept? Although, the odd song such as PUU has played in Reitman stores in Canada. I was wondering if a store plays a song like PUU on a tape would they pay a royalty?(I checked the tape of songs is sent by head office to local stores. Local stores do not get to choose what songs are played.)

And on the naked or not in the sauna discussion... it is easy for someone from Finland to say, "Adam went in naked." But for someone raised in the US, I don't think the answer is that easy. I would guess definitely naked with Sauli. To think otherwise is just silly. However, if Adam got naked with Sauli's mother I would be very surprised. ;D I don’t think Adam is shy but, I can’t fathom that Adam would be naked any where but in private. Maybe being naked in a sauna is like being naked in a tanning bed. I’ve done that (alone of course) and thought nothing about it, however, I am not a celebrity. IMO if Adam were to be caught naked and pictures or vids were taken (as much as I might enjoy them), the haters out there would have a field day. He would be picked to pieces.......and the GB tho. I like my fantasies about his body and I think I’d like to keep it at that–a fantasy. (OK I’m a liar LOL) If there was a pic out there, yes, I would probably look at it, even though I would still feel it was intrusive. And if Adam got naked with Sauli’s mother, I think we would be planning a funeral right now cause she would be DED. HeeHee. I share your schizophrenia and ability to lie with a straight face about all things Adam. It makes me chuckle when someone says "it's all about the music." My feeling, either they are lying, kidding themselves, or it's sad that they are missing so much. Months ago someone confessed as much as she respects Adam's privacy, she would pitch in for a 24 hour webcam. I've been waiting for someone to set up a paypal account so I can pitch in. Hehe
