happy — I think the hoodie Oliver is wearing says Libertine. Adam went to their fashion show last year or 2019. Who knows when things are anymore?!? I think I remember that. I remember thinking that it seemed a funny name for a fashion line -- but maybe the meaning of the word has changed a bit since I learned it! I agree with everyone that I think Oliver has moved in with Adam -- and I don't think it is rushed. Sometimes you just know that things are right! I think he used the term couch surfing because it went better with Olympics. I really hope they will be happy. Didn't know about Oliver's new drivers licence. I think I would be terrified driving around LA and I've been driving for years! Thus my reason for adding in my post above….maybe he will buy a bicycle. His Instagrams certainly have showed him bicycling around for fun and errands. In our city there are bike paths and bike lanes….not so sure about about LA. A bike might be worse than being in a car in LA???

I, too, was shocked reading yesterday's thread that Deb passed away. I know she hadn't been posting as often and mentioned some health issues but it really was unexpected news. She seemed like such a good soul and a Super Adam fan. She will definitely be missed. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ It makes me sad because she had just retired due to Covid and was looking forward to doing more travel to see Adam. She wasn't that old so yeah, this hit me hard.

annala That is a lovely post! I've been hanging out with Adam fans since his AI days. I check Adamtopia every day as it is my go to place for news. Losing a member, makes one pause and contemplate how much this place means to many people. I think it was LindaG23 who was talking about getting old the other day. My elderly neighbour used to joke with me about not getting old and I would always say I didn't like the alternative. I feel sad that Deb didn't make it to Vegas, but I do think she will be there in spirit.

I have read that their public transportation system is not great and cycling can be deadly. So I am guessing that Oliver will be getting some use from his drivers licence.

I've only ever been in the LA area when we went to Disneyland, which is actually in Anaheim, but no, generally that area is not built for bikes. At least it wasn't when we were there, which has been several years at this point.
The LA traffic as a whole is horrendous...good luck to Oliver, hope he's careful.

I hate driving to work in NJ on Route 80 and 287, but always do it with Google maps open on my cell. I know when and where the right hand lanes are going to turn into exit onlys or merge to the left. I haven't driven in LA, but have been there as a car passenger. I suppose you learn a route as well as a couple of alternate routes (and use technology for real time traffic guidance.) Our worst experience was taking a cab from a hotel in Beverly to Dodgers Stadium - it was 2 hours going to, and 25 minutes coming from (after the game). If Oliver's driving to UCLA from Adam's, it's kind of in an opposite direction from people heading into the city proper. And he gets to schedule classes to (hopefully) avoid traffic congestion hours. And do research on-line.

Hi everyone
I just wanted to let you all know that the news on Deb's passing was shared by her husband in a FB group that other Adam fans were a part of so sadly, there really is no doubt.

Well, damnit. Thanks for letting us know, Tinafea. I must admit I was hoping against hope.
