I‘m so happy that Adam made it possible for us non-US-fans to watch a Vegas show live! Yay!! It will be 5am for me, but itthe weekend, so I will be okay! [img class="smile" alt=" " src=" Unfortunately I read quite a few comments by other fans on FB, that they won’t bother to buy a ticket and get up in the middle of the night or whenever it will be at their place (it’s 4am for instance in the UK), because they’re sure, that the show will be available one Youtube, when they get up later. I know a few of them (not personally), because they‘re longtime fans and active in the fandom. That’s why I‘m sad to read that. I mean, Adam and his team made an effort to stream a show worldwide. The shows in Europe had been cancelled and we got all the money back. And now we’re not ready to pay 25$ and get up early? I feared that reaction to be honest. After the birthday concerts both shows had been on YT on the same day. The result is now visible: Quite a few fans won’t buy a ticket. Adam will „lose“ money. I mean, I do understand that some people have to work on saturday or have other plans or reasons why they can’t watch live in the middle of the night. It would be better for people around the world to be able to watch the concert within 24 hours and not only live. In Asia the concert is in the middle of the day. On the other hand we‘ve 2 month to plan how to watch. That should be possible for most people, who really want to watch, right? I don’t know, who‘s reading here and if some of you belong to the wonderful fairies, that always bring us other fans all the video content. But if you’re reading this, maybe you can refrain from posting that concert stream on YT? Maybe make it available as a download a week or 2 later for those, who really couldn’t make it?I think that would help us all in the end. Because if Adam sells less Streaming Tickets, we might not get another one in the future. This has been one of my frustrations in this fandom that some fans need to cap everything and post it too soon on YT and on their Twitter which results in the official streams or posts getting way less attention than the fan posts. Of course it's great that everything get's archived and such. Some things do disappear, but in my opinion it is made too easy for fans to watch fans rip offs nowadays and there are too many fans counting on it and therefore aren't bothering to pay or watch the official sources. Voicing my opinion about this has led quite some fans to ignore me, but I always try to share original videos and tweets because of this. And if we ever want Adam to be bigger again we really need to step up on the attention to these official sources. It's absolutely ridiculous when a fan cap or post get's way more likes and retweets then the official news source or original tweeter.

Don't have a horse in this race...I don't post videos, and I've bought my livestream ticket, but I do agree that we're too quick to put up videos sometimes. On the other hand, I always appreciate being able to watch the videos when a tour is happening, because I'm not usually able to participate.
It's a conundrum.
But I'm pretty sure that Adam and his people realize that not every fan is going to be able to watch the livestream, given the million different time zones, and the livestream won't be saved. I'm a bad fan, because I certainly wouldn't get up in the middle of the night to watch a concert, sorry Adam. Love you, but I need my sleep.
Not sure how the whole live streaming works, so I'm not sure why the stream couldn't be saved. Way beyond my techie challenged brain lol.
ETA: Just saw Skaschep's post above mine, and agree with her. I've had to learn to make an effort to pay attention what video I was watching, to make sure it wasn't just posted by a fan. I've been trying to do that with some of the other performers I watch also. For me, it's been a learning experience since I've never paid attention to clicks and views, etc before.

That was hilarious "I didn't think I was gonna like you" lol. Lady M, thanks for posting some of these old interviews and videos...I hadn't seen some of them. I loved the fan edition video on the first page...guess I've been living under a rock, too...hadn't seen it and boy, all the sexiest Adam looks in one video. YW! It's a pleasure.

I'm enough of a dinosaur to remember the days when if you were unable to attend a concert - whether due to finances, geography, personal circumstances or whatever - you just didn't see the concert. I know those days are gone forever, and I assume most artists have come to accept that concerts will be recorded by attendees and posted online. Probably some see the online posts as a form of free promo, which they are. But when a concert is made available via livestream, with the understanding that a ticket will be purchased to enable the online viewing, and fans deliberately refuse to purchase tickets because they'll be able to watch for free later on due to postings from other fans, not due to the artist making it available at no cost - it just feels wrong to me. And it makes me sad that there are fans, many of whom are undoubtedly also old enough to remember the pre-Internet days, who feel entitled to cut Adam out of money he deserves, just because they can.
There will be plenty of fan videos of the Vegas shows, I'm sure. I wish that would be enough for those who don't want to buy a ticket, but obviously that will never happen,

I was at that Chicago QAL show where Adam is showing us the backstage entrance. It was SO thrilling! Love these little interview clips this morning. Thanks! It's a pleasure.

I think it's different when we get videos of songs from a concert or from a tour...those are all over Youtube, for pretty much every artist. It's another thing entirely to expect an entire concert. I've discovered pretty much every single artist I listen to and buy music from via Youtube videos.
And at this point, are we just assuming somebody is going to post the entire Vegas concert on YT, or do we know that somebody is planning to? Did somebody post the entire Roxy concert? I didn't look for it, because I bought tickets for both shows.

The videos are a conundrum ….no right or wrong.
I remember being in the hotel room in Vancouver (River Rock) with a few other Atopers when Suz was uploading videos after the show. Others were out dining, visiting etc. Luckily the small group there got to meet each other, while she poured over her computer. As years went by, I was glued to the hundreds of her concert YouTubes that she and others would post after a show. But that night, at the beginning stages of his performances allowed me to thank her in person, and learn we both drank Diet Coke!
The TALC crew were so diligent, as well as others, in holding their cameras/specialized equipment (at their own expense) and spending the time to upload and post. I am forever grateful. Now I am far more easy …and less “fan”atical about viewing ALL the postings. Lol! But I do crave that “show me now”, if my time zone allows me to follow along.
This streaming concept is a gift. I personally have appreciated being able to see Adam perform for a minimal fee versus the thousands of dollars paid out to attend some venues. So—I would pay the fee for a stream to support Adam, whether I watch it or not. Just like —I buy multiple copies of his albums, or t- shirts, or charities. But …you can consider me crazy…lol!
Edit add….I really wondered if the Hocus Pocus and Ratatouie streams would actually show up on my computer. I bought anyway to support Adam. He is far more wealthy than I would ever have a hope dream of being….but I enjoy my hobby of being a fan, and wish it to continue. If the streaming costs breaks even, Adam will continue them in some instances! If there is not enough support….then no live streams in the future.

Some have them on private though so you can't find them without the links they posted. There are some fans who wake up after Adam has performed somewhere and the first thing they ask is: are there videos up already? It's something that is done almost always and fans expect it to happen and sadly anticipate on it. And of course it's great that fans share concert videos and stuff, but if it's a stream that is paid for it becomes a bit sketchy.

And of course it's great that fans share concert videos and stuff, but if it's a stream that is paid for it becomes a bit sketchy. Thanks for answering. I never looked for any of the Roxy videos, since I watched both concerts. As for looking for videos after concerts, that's been the norm since Adam has started touring, so I doubt that's going to change any time soon. There is simply no way that some of his fans are able to travel or pay some of the exorbitant fees to travel to concerts. The videos are greatly appreciated, I'm sure. So it's either make videos available to everyone, or just stop videos altogether. That will deprive a large part of his fandom, and I'm not sure that'll be beneficial for Adam either. But this issue isn't just an Adam fandom issue...it exists with other performers also.
