Can't Let You Go is one of, if not my absolute favorite song of Adam's...and sadly never recorded. I have it on my IPod, and I can't remember where I got it. I know there used to be somebody that had a website with all of Adam's pre-Idol music that could be downloaded...can't remember the name though. All I know is that at the time I absolutely HAD TO HAVE every single piece of music that Adam had ever sung. I was totally obsessed lol. Wouldn't it be amazing if he sang that live? I've listened to that song so many times, even though the recording of it is less than crystal clear. The rawness of it, the growls, the anguish in his voice...the way he sings it just gives me shivers. One place you can find "Can't Let You Go" is on a CD that was released in 2014: Playlist: The Very Best of Adam Lambert. Also includes "Mad World", "One" and "Tracks of My Tears" from Idol, among other songs, including "Runnin". Just looked - you can still purchase that CD on Amazon. "Can't Let You Go" is also one of my very favorite songs of Adam's, and if I ever heard him sing it live, I would think I had died and truly gone to heaven. I seem to remember someone who was involved with that recording saying that Adam was on his knees singing part of it. Yes, svca, it too gives me shivers every time I listen to it!

I found it on Amazon, Animaldoc, but who put that out? I don't remember us talking about it, did we? I can't find who produced that, and I don't want to buy something else that's trying to rip off Adam, like that fake album that he said was without his permission.

I don't have the answers to your questions, svca. I bought the CD so long ago that I don't remember how I found out about it. I don't remember Adam saying anything about this particular compilation CD. I just know that it contains some of my favorite Adam songs, and I have both the CD and the mp3 as well for my iPod. And maybe it was a bonus track on one of his albums too? Can't remember that either! Maybe others here know more about it?

Playlist was put out by Sony after Adam left RCA but Can't Let You Go was recorded. It was released as a bonus track on I think the UK edition of FYE.

I have Playlist: The Very Best of Adam Lambert from RCA. "Can't Let You Go" is one of many of his beautiful ballads that never saw radio or a wider audience. Fans often said a ballad would not sell then SS came along and took over the spot. He sold very well and charted high and won Grammy's and an Oscar. In my biased opinion, Adam's emotional ballads were much better but they were never given a chance.
I have mixed feeling when it comes to support of out gay men in music. There have been so few that broke thru that it is hard to judge cause they are not well represented. Adam came along when it was not easy for out gay men. At first he had RCA on his side and he found success and support. But when the leadership changed at RCA so did his support. When SS came along there was a massive push from his label and it worked. Adam was with Warner and there was no big push for him so he just did okay. And of course when LNX came along and blew up, Adam was no longer on a major and few even heard his work. Another out male artist was Troye and I had no interest in him other than wishing him well. So I have no idea if he should have had more interest and success.
I fell for Vincent when he competed on The Four singing show. He was fantastic. Did not know he was gay until I found out he was friends with Adam. His voice is so great but then I read somewhere that he wanted to put out dance music. Makes sense. Rap, dance/disco, and some pop are not my favorites but they appeal to a club and younger crowd. I'm more of a fan of pop/rock, rock, soul, alt and beautiful ballads. So will support gay artists who put out the type of music that appeals to me but I think most are more into pop and dance. Would be interesting to see if any could succeed in a different format. Will likely buy something from Vincent, even if it is dance pop, to support him. Don't think he is signed tho. And of course, will always support Adam with whatever music he chooses to put out.

I know I have had the track for years///pretty certain it was on the European version of Fye as an extra! Not sure if that is still available any more but should be. Many of us bought that CD just for that track!
eta...I see Rhiannsu answered your question earlier!
