It's going to be a busy month, yay! In all my years here I've still never figured out rock, pop. I think I can tell swing, jazz, and mostly country. I'm not sure modern rock is the same as the classic rock that Adam does sing. I wish a song would get picked up for an advertisement or a movie but then I don't know if it's the chicken of the egg thing - does the song have to be big first? I'm looking forward to Grimm and the Cover Bands looks good too and talk show interviews are always cool. I agree 100%. The lines are easily blurred unless you are metal or really hard rock. I think most feel that way and that is why some artists can get themselves in both categories. They increase their audience and exposure if they are not only wedded to pop. We talked about this yesterday too. HA.
When FYE came out, it was called a mixture of glam rock, pop and pop-rock. Adam was happy and RCA was happy and pushed and the album did very well. His most successful album to date. Then they changed leadership at RCA and one of the new leaders gave an interview where he said Adam saw himself as pop and wanted to go even more in that direction. But he said they did not see him as a pop artist and viewed him more as pop-rock and rockish. Adam won out with the direction of Trespassing but the label did not push the album or any of the singles. They said they wanted him to get a #1 album and he did. But I guess if they don't believe in your direction they will fail to really support #1 or not. Oddly Adam called "Runnin" a rock song (modern and not classic) and that seemed to be one of the more popular songs from Trespassing. It sure is one of my favorites along with Shady, Underneath and Chokehold. Of course none were released as singles, lol. But Adam is indie now and he can go any direction that he pleases and I will support his efforts.
However, the same thing seemed to happen with Kelly Clarkson but in the opposite way early in her career. Her first album was more pop and very successful but she wanted to go in a more rock direction for the next one. She got her way but the label did not buy her as rock so they failed to support the album. She really hated Clive for not getting on board with her rock aspirations and felt it was sabotage. She did bounce back tho after giving them what they wanted. At the end of the day, majors have the power and money to support or not.

No doubt that Adam has had some of the most stylish and sexy fashion looks over the years. The Velvet era suits were both classy and edgy. TOH red and black on GMA. Iheart. And most anything QAL. But this is certainly on the list of one of my favorites. So handsome. I look forward to seeing more great looks and style from Adam.

Oh yeah, agree with you about that particular outfit lol. Not sure though that we'll see him THAT skinny again in the near future. We'll see what happens next year. I'm just hoping we get to see the tour next year, whatever the status of the "dad bod" may be (quote per Adam lol, can't remember which interview/insta live).
