I was going to post yesterday evening, but I was too tired to open my computer again after aerobics class.
So goal is 25 lost 2 and total 2.
I'm happy although I had few days I could have done better and I haven't been able to reach all the goals in the weight loss program I'm using.
I have to leave soon for my belly dancing class, but I hope I'm not too tired after that so I can come back tonight and post some more.
I have a lot of catching up to do in the news too.

Wednesday - SpinachThe wonder food even for those of us who don't have a Whole Foods store nearby to buy it from. Cook it or not, you can even juice it. I tried the spinach omelet posted either here or in the main thread and it was pretty good. I haven't ever cooked spinach before but this didn't smell. I was surprised at how small it got when I put it in with the onions. Now it looks to me as if Sauli has lightly braised (fried them for about 10 seconds if my cooking terminology is anywhere close) to give them this sheen. Speculation, probably accurate, is that this is the same spinach as was recently photographed in a shopping cart ETA - did some so we'll see if it brings any results.

*Sneaks in in the dark of night* Well, like I said, I have been struggling, and unfortunately I did not lose anything last week. However, I cleaned out bad food, bought better food, and cooked more, and got more exercise so I think I will do better this week. Working it out! Looking for my exercise tapes and weights. Don't give up on me!!!

I envy you gals that only have to lose 10 pounds. I wish I had the discipline to stop eating when I am 10 lbs. overweight and diet back to goal. I get 50-70 lbs. overweight and then start dieting back to my goal. It is like banging your head again a brick wall. I have been doing this since I was 16. If food and cooking and family wasn't such a huge part of my life, I would probably be skinny. But then I would have been alone. So I guess this is the life I chose.
I have also had three different sizes of clothes in my closets. When I get to the biggest size and they don't fit, I realize then that it is time to diet and get back to my smallest size. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I have clothes that are 20+ years old that I can still wear and are even in style.

We won't give up stardust. I'm the worst cheat there is food wise. But that's why we've got group pressure now lol.
Irish, I've got more to lose than my goal for this round too. :( we all need to join Jojo's exercise classes.

Irish, I'm a yo-yo dieter too :-[ ... I was skinny until I turned 33 and had my 3rd baby ... it's been up and down ever since then. I lost 40 pounds last year and then gained much of it back. So I have a lot more to lose than my 11 pound goal ... that is just an interim goal at March 20 ... then I'll start on the next goal ... every time I tell myself that I have changed my eating habits, and then I slowly start eating more of the bad stuff again ... >:(

I've been avoiding checking in as I wasn't 100% true to my objectives......that's my problem. Thing's are either black or white, no gray. But, in truth, I was totally gray last week and, in fact, made some progress. I did walk almost every day. Twice I walked the 3 times around the fence line which is almost 2 miles. Most of the time I walked twice around and one day I completely blew it off. All the trash food is gone and I've made a run to the store and cooked and portion packaged the meat. I have greens and fruit as well. So, all and all improvements were made. I do think I have to be a little more specific then "I want to get in those jeans" as there is no way to measure that. So, I'm adjusting my goal by saying I want to lose 10 inches from around my waist. I'm still going for the 3 times around the dog yard and 12 glasses of water a day. As for last week, I made 8 to 10 glasses of water. Hmmmm, it probs was good to write this down cuz in all areas I did make a slight improvement. YAY!
ADDED: BTW, Adam's Remixes of IIHY are great walking beats. Also one that actually gets me jogging is Jungle Love (Purple Rain). Cool down -- Easy to Be Hard (Adam's theme) by Three Dog Night -- this would be a great cover for Adam.

Checking in as well. Lost 1 pound out of 10, and am getting the sweets out of the house. Focusing on healthy foods and did some more exercise last week.
Great work everybody! We can do this!

Thursday - Goals and Rewards
I wonder sometimes if we set ourselves up for difficulty in this shaping up process. And perhaps that's because we have our goals and our rewards mixed up.
What if instead of having our goal set at "Lose 10 Pounds" we set it to "Exercise 40 minutes a day, drink 5 cups water, etc."? I know we say all these things we are going to do already, but we treat them like chores or just a method to make it to the weight goal. But if we could change our mindset to making the daily things more of the goal then this would be goals that we could actually control, something measurable daily or even hourly that we actually do instead of hope for. Then we wouldn't worry so much about our success on something we can't control at the end of a week and instead count those possible pounds lost as the result of reaching our goal each day as our Reward.
Just and idea.
