Still catching up on my welcomes. There's promo going on elsewhere and my discipline is lacking.
Moncher, yes we are all for team spirit. Have you tried the method of parking at the far end of the parking lot to add some built in low-impact walking to the start and end of your day. It's always the end of the day walk back to the car that would get me. Oh and I added some exercise smilies on the first post in the thread.
Ladyoz, cute prayer from your sister about not mixing up the fat bank account with the thin body. Do you get to do your water aerobics with other people? That’s always fun.
JanuarySnow, it looks like there will be lots of people joining you in counting kilos instead of pounds. Dancing with Adam is great.
Slapdash LaRue, how long is this fence line you plan on walking? Sounds like a cowboy term.

I've had really good luck with the 70%+ cocoa chocolate ... it's not really sweet so it doesn't seem to bring on sugar cravings, but it does satisfy the chocolate craving. And if I take just one small square out of the package and savor tiny bites, letting it melt on my tongue, I can get up to 10 minutes of delicious chocolate taste for about 25 calories!

I am early this morning because I didn't sleep well last night. No craving anything but they say you need 7-8 hours sleep to lose weight. Who knows.
Breakfast: same as yesterday
Lunch: Whole tomato stuffed with chicken salad (3/4 cup) Ice tea
Dinner: Broiled haddock 6 oz., 1/2 cup corn or 1 corn on the cob, small tossed salad (with 2 tbs. diet dressing, 1/2 cup strawberries with 1 tbs. vanilla yougart drizzled over fruit
Snack: Raw vegetable plate (mixture of 6 each of carrot sticks, celery, cucumber, cauliflower with diet dip.
I can't wait for Monday. I am dying to know how much I lost. I feel lighter. I have to get used to feeling empty instead of full. I have to learn to like empty. I have lived most my life feeling full and satisfied. Now when I eat it is just for fuel and I can't stuff myself. I have to get used to that feeling of not overeating and like it. Normally, I would not stop at 1/2 cup of strawberries-I would eat the whole box. Now I have to stop at 1/2 cup of everything that I love. That is the part that takes getting used to doing.
Looking forward to the Press Party interview with Adam. I wish they would post it already. Have a great weekend everyone. I think my husband and I are going to see Mission Impossible.

Just wanted to throw in a few thoughts I've had and a couple ideas. I will wait for Monday to post my weight and exercise plans. I'm actually getting kind of excited about doing this, and enjoying all the posts and progress from yall!
8toinfinity - love jigsaw puzzles! Great way to occupy your time! I work Sudoko (I'm addicted to them) while babysitting hubby when he watches the 50th football game of the week. Also, I find I don't even think about eating while glued to the puter stanning AFL. Have missed many a meal!
Sugaree - thanks for the tip on the e-cigs. I bought them last summer, but haven't figured out how to properly operate them! Glad you're on board as a cheerleader for us!
JustKaren - have you tried buying the small snack size candy bars? Not the bite size ones, but the small ones that come in a pack of 8, you can get them at Wal Mart. Just the right size to satisfy your candy bar craving, but not big enough to have a ton of calories. That's if you can eat just one!
Irish: Have you tried putting picante or other salsa on your baked potato? It's really good that way, spices it up and adds flavor and not too many calories/carbs.
Also, I have found that lots of times when I think I am hungry, I am actually thirsty! A good idea is to drink a glass of water when you think you are hungry, may take care of it, fill you up, and help with getting in the amount of water that you need to drink.
Snack idea: Frozen red grapes! They are sweet, satisfies the sugar craving, but healthy.

Another great snack idea ... frozen cherries! Cherries are one of the lower-glycemic fruits so they don't spike blood sugar as much as some fruits ... unfortunately, I can eat a whole bowl of fresh ones without even thinking about it! But the frozen ones take a little longer to eat, so I eat fewer of them. They don't get hard like strawberries or grapes, they are just icy like a popsicle that has just started to soften a little. Cherries have a very short season, so I buy a couple of big bags at Costco and freeze them, they are particularly good in the summer when you want something cold to snack on.

Saturday - Omega 3s
Right now this is the one supplement that is a must for me. I've had it prescribed for me by two different doctors, one was for reducing cholesterol and the other was for lubricating my eyes. It's a pain to take because the sugessted amount is 3 of those big honker pills a day. To cover my bases and because my brain wraps around it better to have different looking pills instead of 3 the same I do a regular fish oil, an Oceans fish oil pill, a krill oil pill, and a liquied lemon merange flavored smoothie. I've read that I should be looking for a seaweed or plankton based pill instead of krill or fish based but I haven't gone looking for that one yet.
ETA: I also try and add a flax oil one too.

I thought I had problems with all my pills. Sorry Jablea about those three big Omega 3s.
One thing I have noticed on my diet is that I have more energy, and I feel so much better not having sugar or fat in my diet. I would still like to have some because it makes everything taste better but I can sure feel the difference. Today my husband and I eat the following:
breakfast: same as always. yesterday I switched the cereal to oatmeal. There are lots of bananas in this diet. I suppose it is for the potassiam (sp.).
lunch: 1/4 cottage cheese, 1/4 head lettuce, 1/2 orange, 1/2 apple, 3/4 cups grapes, tea
dinner: 5 oz. steak, any fat removed, medium baked potato (2 tbs. diet margarine) 1/2 cup broccoli, 1 diet coke
Snack: 1 banana sprinkled with cinnamon-artificial sweetener and toasted under the broiler
Exciting things are happening for Adam. I must lose weight for the concerts that are to come or I won't be able to walk up and down the stairs at the concerts. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I forgot about freezing grapes and I never heard about freezing the cherries. I love cherries. I'm going to try both. The more "legal" stuff available, the less likely I am to stray. Didn't get around to setting up my jigsaw puzzle yet. :-/ I definitely will today. Watched a movie on TV last night and, sure enough, ended up having cheese and almonds when logically I knew I wasn't hungry and too close to bed time. :

2 years ago, I decided I needed to start taking a daily multiple vitamin, and some other supplements such as the omega 3's. They have been on the shelf since then.
What is the "shelf-life" of vitamins/supplements? Are they any good if they are expired?
