@adamlambert ...holy hip roll, bat man!!!Someone should send him a list of the top 10 or so fan videos, but who would want to have to watch the hundreds of them to decide which are the best?!? LOL ;D ;D ;D Maybe we could do a list of our favorite videos, and then have a vote to pick the most popular. Maybe one list for the deep end and one for the shallow end. :  One of my favorites is "Vanity" - really well done. Someone posted it here in the last few days. |

Thank you for the link! I still remember when I was watching that first Idol audition on TV. After that AI was a MUST WATCH during that season (not so much afterwards). I will watch this entire thing later today! You're welcome maria1 ! :D |

I love Guns n roses, I love the clips they chose and they also his moves go along with the music. It's awesome!!!

The butthurt within the idol bubble in general regarding Adam always astounds me. And the so called media journalists/bloggers who fed into it was/is mind boggling. MJ, Rickey, Jim C. Slezak, etc. The most satisfying part for me has always been that the professional and reputable journalists loved Adam. Lyndsay Parker, Ann Powers, Michelle Collins, Rolling Stone, etc. Then there are the butthurt idol fans of Cook, Kris, Lee, James, et al. to contend with. Jeaously is a ugly ugly beast but I'm a firm believer in karma and all of them are reaping what they sowed with their hateful bullshit directed at Adam. I'm hopeful this second album blows up and gives them something to whine and complain about *petty and childish* I wouldn't include Slezak in that first group. Michael IS a big fan of the divas and he admitted he wasn't on board with Adam at first (despite his mother's trying to fix this lol), but I really felt his journey to becoming a supporter was honest and interesting to watch. (Whereas I thought Jim C's early comments were pretty homophobic or at least played to that mentality in a really mean way-and IMO his subsequent change of tone was only cosmetic.) And Slezak was a steadfast defender of Adam after Idol - even though I still don't think Adam's music is exactly his thing. His post-AMA interview I thought was really sweet. He was the first to let Adam talk about the vocals and then to legit ask Adam specific questions regarding FYE - it really was a deep dive as he said. And he made the point about the media/critics forgetting Adam was a person -which you could tell hit a spot with Adam. (Also he made Adam laugh with that story about his mother at the Idol's concert.) I don't bother to watch Idol anymore but I still watch Michael's show because i think he's kind, funny, and passionate. And I love (how can one not?) Michelle Collins but I think she's a humorist more than a journalist. And while I like Lyndsey (a lot) - I'm not sure how much credibility she has outside the Idol bubble - esp given her OMG Durbin is great stance. I agree on Ann Powers though- I think she gave Adam great exposure to those outside of idol bubble in her LA times articles - given she is a legit & respected pop music commentator. She went beyond the 'he is an amazing vocalist' and 'yay for the gay guy' to the 'could this guy be the change pop needs?' (Like with Michael, I don't always agree with Ann, but I do respect her as an informed and honest voice.) I miss seeing serious music people writing about Adam as an artist (a la Ann Powers) - I hope the new album has some material that sparks a fresh round of such discussions. Is it March yet????? |
