"Natural Woman" Watch Adam's reactions throughout the video! youtube.com/watch?v=MjQhHQnQR4ICorey Cesare ‘Clash of the Cover Bands’ Recap: Meghan Trainor’s Favorite Battle Yetby Casey Durkin/E! Entertainment Clash of the Cover Bands returned on E! for its newest episode that featured Elisa Furr covering Celine Dion and Elaine Gibbs covering Aretha Franklin. These two singers impressed the judges with their impressions, but Elisa Furr covering Celine Dion reigned victorious in the end. The judges began the episode by explaining what makes a great powerhouse vocalist. The judges agreed that these tribute singers needed to give everything they’ve got in the challenge to prove they have what it takes to be the winner. Up first, the show introduced Elisa covering Celine Dion. This singer’s story began with how she learned she loved to perform on stage. At 14 years-old she competed in pageants because she was able to sing in front of an audience. Once she was older, she moved to Las Vegas, NV, to chase after her dreams. Many opportunities were given to her, but she knew Celine Dion was her calling after a room went silent when they heard her sing. As soon as this impersonator began singing, Meghan Trainor called out that she is paying tribute to Celine Dion. This impersonator had some great vocals even in her first performance. Adam Lambert told this singer that he was really impressed with her vocals. Eventually the judges decided to send the impersonator to the movement expert. Aretha Franklin Impersonator Leaves Judges SpeechlessElaine Gibbs covering Aretha Franklin is a familiar face to some X Factor fans. She competed in the first season of the series and was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger. She began singing in a choir at 9 years old, but began singing Aretha Franklin music around 14 years old. This impersonator became a tribute artist three years ago soon after Aretha passed away in 2018. Link to post: talentrecap.com/clash-of-the-cover-bands-recap-meghan-trainors-favorite-battle-yet/

Loved the "powerhouse vocals" Cover Bands show, and Adam really stood out to me tonight with his comments, his looks, and his genuine enthusiasm. It looks like he really enjoyed this particular episode. He sure knows what he's talking about when it comes to powerhouse vocals.

Will be watching Cover Bands today on my DVR. This Aretha sounds like she's fantastic! Adam is definitely the expert when it comes to powerhouse vocals. He is the master of that universe.
Listened to "the Man With the Bag" vocal vid. Those two guys sure do mesh well in a duet. Love the jazzy take on that song. It's very intricate but they deliver it perfectly. Can't wait to see them perform on the 30th!

It must have been tough to pick the winner as they both were great vocalists, though what clearly gave Celine the edge was the "whole package". Adam recognized that, of course. Her physical embodiment and her stage presence were pretty incredible. Well, I thought the same about Britney and I was partial to her, but JLO won. In the end, I think they all get great exposure. Fun show.

Wow, just listened to this. I hate, hate, hate jazz, but I really liked this. Adam and Darren sound great together...their voices blend beautifully. I can't wait to hear this on the Kelly show.

I agree with the judges on Cover Bands. The Celine girl had a better voice and really embodied Celine. I have never been a Celine Dion fan at all, but this girl did her perfectly. The Aretha woman was very good but her voice was too raspy. Aretha never sang with that much rasp in her voice. The woman was very good, overall, but I think Celine was the right choice. Both contestants were really good. I am glad that the "showier" contestant didn't win, because sometimes the over-the-top showy performance kind of wins by default, not necessarily because it is the better one.
Excited to find out what Adam and Shosh were up to in NYC, "meeting-wise."
