Resolutions

Yes, it's that time of year when we set lofty goals and vow to be the best and brightest version of ourselves
Keep it real—Adam promised us realness, and after nearly three years I know that I don't stan a perfect person. I know that I will occasionally disagree with something Adam says and I may not always like everything he does. But I'd rather be a fan of a real person than a persona, and the more we find out about Adam, the more fascinating he becomes to me. I appreciate complexity and am looking forward to both the light and dark sides yet to be revealed. At the same time, I don't and never will know Adam completely. Before I judge him, I will try to remember this, and that (like the rest of us) he's doing the best he can.
Look for joy—I love that Adam actively focuses on the positive. He's not Pollyanna-ish, but he knows that what he projects to the world is what he gets back. I know that this year is going to be a roller-coaster ride, and we'll have plenty of heart-stopping moments. But I want to savor all the fantastic and wonderful times we will have, whether it's a spin number or an awesome hairstyle or the perfect note sung live. I came into this fandom for the fun and pleasure it brought to my life, and I stay in it for the same reasons.
Choose to minimize negativity—There is plenty of unpleasantness in the fandom if you know where to look. The thing is, looking is a choice. I'm not suggesting the head-in-the-sand approach. If there is truly some bad news, the best way I can deal with it is to process it with others. But if I find my blood pressure skyrocketing because of some non-fans' opinions, or steam coming out of my ears because some crays refuse to let go of delusion, it might be time for me to step away from the cesspool. I can unfollow, block, mute, scroll, or simply not visit those places that make me unhappy. I have control.
Make connections—Maybe I'm just lucky, but pretty much every time I've chosen to blur the line between my virtual life and my real life it has been a great experience. From the first time I shared a hotel room with a fan I'd met online, to cross-country adventures with people I had previously only known by weird usernames, it's amazing how much common ground there is between Adam fans besides just liking Adam! This year, I'm looking forward to meeting more fans and making more connections.
Seek out adventures—When I look back on my fandom experiences, the best ones are those where I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried something new. I had always had seated tickets at concerts, but I tried GA and loved it. I thought I was too cool to stalk the buses after a show, but turns out it's fun to elbow my way to the front of a barricade and babble incoherently as Adam walks by. I'm looking forward to trying new things this year, and if I look a little hesitant, a little peer pressure never hurt anyone! :D
Adam said 2012 is gonna be nuts and I believe him. May it bring Adam all he hopes for, and all that we hope for as well. Wishing you all much realness, joy, connection, and adventure as we start a new year and a new era!

What Stories Will 'Pop' In 2012?
From music to TV to celebrity babies, MTV News looks ahead to all of the big releases expected in the coming months.[/b]
It's a new year and that means that there's lots of ooey-gooey pop goodness all ready to pour out in 2012. Between celebrity babies, music and Hollywood, fans should gear up for some really big stuff in the coming year. But if history has taught us anything, as hard as we might plan, pop culture always has a way of sneaking up and surprising us. Not that we're complaining. So get your planners out: MTV News is looking ahead at what to expect in the world of pop culture.

Music
There are lots of big album releases slated for 2012. Crossover queen Nicki Minaj will release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded just in time to show her Barbz and Kenz some love on Valentine's Day. Madonna already has confirmed that she will drop her next album come spring. Fans already got a taste of it when the single "Gimme All Your Luvin' " leaked on the Internet.
"American Idol" alum Adam Lambert is readying the release of his next album, Trespassing, set to drop in March. Willow Smith's fans should whip their hair back and forth as the tween's long-simmering debut album, Knees and Elbows, will finally drop in April. Justin Bieber has teased his Believe album for a summer release. He's shared that it will pick up where Justin Timberlake left off before he decided to focus on his acting. Basically, he's bringing sexy back.

Allure of Sound’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Albums
January 1, 2012 News
2. Adam Lambert – Trespassing
Adam Lambert is one of the few American Idol finalist who most people can still remember. He is by far one of the most talented contestants the show has produced. Adam worked on Trespassing, his second studio album, with Dr. Luke, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers and Claude Kelly. If the lead single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” is any indication, I think it is safe to say that Adam is on track to avoiding the infamous sophomore slump. Trespassing will be released in March.
