Brian has my every sympathy.
I am having exactly the same problems with my new Samsung Smart TV
I have to log in every time I use the apps and I only ever manage to get ‘ordinary’ live channels like BBC by accident, by pressing every button I can find..
Have about a 50% success rate.
So I continue to watch on my pc or ipad.

For the first time I have been watching Adam's YouTube videos on my xlarge Tv.. Where have I been ,I always watched on my computer..So basically I,ve been having a great time watching Adam's performances at night when I go to bed. Maybe that's why I can't fall asleep LOl . I guess it takes me a while to catch up on technology.. Also watch tic tok on iPhone.. I think I'm aging backwards. BTW Has anybody seen the musical movie TicTic Boom on Netflix about Jonathan Larson,who wrote RENT.. Love it so much . Hoping we get more action by fans here on Adamtopia.. going on 11 years that I have followed Adam's site day and night From the very beginning when the site had a different name.. My happy place for sure.Thanks to Q3 and all who have kept Adamtopia running all these years.. I don't know what I would do without you all. I’ve watched tick tick boom and lived it. So many broadway Easter eggs and the homage to soundheim made it especially good. First movie for Lin Manuel Miranda. Kept thinking of him sitting f in the audience when ad performed believe. |

Hahaha… funny, as I am in the first two days of “fighting” with the new Roku TV stick, which I decided to purchase after discovering that my just a few years old 4K HDR tv is “an old model” and LG AppStore would not download some of the apps to it, like HBOMax. so now, I have an assortment of tv gadgets, including Fire stick in one room and Roku in another, both attached to smart TVs, each one has it’s own weird hiccups…. Plus casting from iPad and the phone of course… no cable though, so I have to be friends with all the apps and all the sticks and all the remotes… yay for progress!  |

I get sucked in whenever I pull up the Adam videos (and QAL) on my tv screen. I just move from one video to the next. I only pull up pre-Covid tho except for TSMGO singalong. And it normally ends with me switching over to Netflix to watch TSMGO doc. yet again, lol.
I have been toying with watching the Jonathan Larson Netflix show but haven't given in just yet. But I will eventually.

Had the kid (22) set it up and while all the "smart" stuff would work we could not find regular channels from the wall cable. Kid had to delete the "smart" so the tv would work. Still went off the grid the next morning. I snapped a pic of the remote so that maybe I can help my dad. The only thing that worked was pressing the back button on the remote, not once, but twice. He doesn't like it because the movies on his DISH channels all have commercials so they take to long to watch. |
