Hope Brian continues to get better and fully recovers!
Good to see Darren's (Adam) song doing well on the AC charts.
Hope Adam's new label can get him on the radio someplace. Not thinking about top 40, the home of rappers and teens+. But there are so many other music areas/charts. Daughtry is doing well as an indie and getting played a lot on rock radio. Many can get on AC after getting played on other charts or just getting played on AC alone. Adam is certainly in demand and gets a lot of exposure for tv projects in the US and abroad. He is the Queen frontman. And his solo music is as good and often better than many others. And his music includes multiple genres. There must be Someplace on the radio, to go with streaming, for him.

I noticed Adam calls Oliver his “partner” on Lorraine. Do you think it implies something different from “boyfriend “? Probably just using the more gender neutral term. He's I think more aware of that now with his foundation work. That could be. It used to be if you used that terminology it was more of side-stepping the gay question but if you are working for equity then using a terminology that can be used by anyone then partner, like spouse for a married couple, makes sense. I also thought it was interesting that in answer to the Christmas question he didn't say that as a Jew he didn't celebrate but instead that they would have a Christmas tree. That's probably his partner's influence.

That's probably his partner's influence. Yes, Adam did change a lot in the regard of Christmas over the past years. He started to sing Christmas songs and he did already have a tree in his old house at a time. I remember his friends posting it during a party. Maybe it’s also the family influence by Eber and Amy and by Neil and his wife and kids. And of course the fact that Oliver will want to celebrate Christmas. But the change began much earlier, IMO.

I never got the feeling that Adam was against celebrating Christmas. He just wasn't into the idea of putting out a Christmas album, which a lot of fans requested from the beginning. I always thought the "I'm Jewish" answer stemmed more from the album question than anything else.

I always thought the "I'm Jewish" answer stemmed more from the album question than anything else. One thing that I was surprised of, was that Adam really demanded people to wish „Happy Holidays“ and not „Merry Christmas“. From my memory he explained it as that he’s Jewish and doesn’t celebrate Christmas. But maybe my memory fails me there. The family didn’t celebrate it during his childhood though and Neil once got into trouble in elementary school, when he refused to wear Santa‘s hat for a picture. Eber told that story.

My memories are that Adam's family did have Christmas in their home. He and Neil got presents, etc. He never has said much, to my knowledge, about celebrating Hannukah, although they might have. His mother is Jewish, so she may have done some Jewish traditions. I think he once said he was "Jewish Lite." He said that he did not have a mitzvah or anything. Overall, Adam doesn't seem to be very religious, but he is a spiritual person.

From what Eber has said, he agreed to raise Adam and Neil in Jewish faith and they didn’t celebrate Christmas at home. Only when they visited his side of the family they celebrated with the grandparents. Which they likely often did for Christmas. 😉

On whatever level Adam chooses to celebrate Christmas or not, his version of "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" from the Ryan Seacrest Holiday Special are gems. I would love to hear him sing a full version of "O Holy Night" as he sang part of it on a Japanese tv show. But even non-religious Christmas songs from him, like the one with Darren, are special. Would welcome more.

A "partner", to me, implies a more significant relationship. Living together, in some way committed to each other, sharing property, plans, and a future. IMHO

I think Adam mentioned a long time ago that some fans kept sending him religious gifts ,IMHO, so as not to encourage these gifts he said he doesn't celebrate Christmas because he's Jewish...
I agree on partner, seems more like a significant relationship.. more adult for sure.Although at 81,I still refer to my friend's guys as their boyfriends...LOL
