Yeah, really. The 6 year old granddaughter was sent home today with her Chromebook. Guess the school district thinks it will be remote in January.
And I have other grandchildren who are 4 year old, 3 year old and 5 month old, so I'm limiting what I do, and how I mask.
I saw (somewhere) that this covid thing may be deemed endemic - like a flu - sometime in the future, rather than a pandemic. I am old enough to have had measles, german measles and chickenpox. (I do not recommend living though any of these.) Thank the Lord and science that there are vaccines against these diseases, since I wouldn't wish them or tolerate them in my children, or now my grandchildren.
I'm hoping to go to Rhode Island next week to see another grandchild. Vax'd and boosted.

Although I had a mild case when I was little apparently I did not develop an immunity. Same with the measles but I was vaccinated for that after my first child. I have one under 5 grandchild but all of the rest are vaccinated and have been sticking home. We will be meeting tomorrow at my house. I ended up buying a pricey air purifier for the occasion. Happy Christmas to me. |
