I know I won't make it to midnight, but I think I'll watch the Big Ben NYE special for a while...bask in the gorgeousness that was Adam. And, of course, the voice.
Hopefully, that'll make for an easy slide into 2022.

Years ago, Adam did a NYE gig somewhere in SE Asia…maybe Bali?….I remember thinking …He will probably sing Ould Lang Syne at midnight…probably had to ensure he knew that song especially for this event. Whether he initiated it or was pushed into singing it…or what…I cannot remember…but …he really did not know more than a few lines …so got the audience…then an audience member to carry the song.
I shook my head thinking …really…he did not prepare for that song!! 😆
Later, people who attended commented that management at the resort, would not let the audience stay after his performance…really putting a damper on the expected ability to stay and celebrate. Dinner, performance and no party!
I guess every gig has its odd or funny moments, but imagine not letting the paying customers celebrate even for an hour, after sitting most of the evening! I sure enjoyed the videos from that night, and have appreciated any and all postings from NYE gigs. The London one being a huge highlight. The J.K. Rowling NYE gathering a few years ago must of had very strict guidelines, as it was much after the fact that I learned Queen and Adam did the gig. Were there ever any vids?
Add on---Found the vid...you can see...my recollection was not quite accurate but close. LOL! 2:37

I don't even remember QAL doing a JK Rowling gig...although, to be fair, I lack in the keeping track of past Adam events lol.
You guys are so much better at that than I am...I can barely remember what I had for breakfast!

It wasn’t officially announced or acknowledged who it was for, just private event, it was New Years 2020. There was a comment a few weeks later that is when they came up with the idea of doing the Live Aid set for Fire Fight. Happy New Year!! |
