Cumulus!! The bane of the FYE era!
A very LARGE group of extremely conservative radio stations that have a stranglehold on quite a few markets.
They would not play WWFM for the longest time, so long that the early adopters had dropped spins by the time they (grudgingly) started playing the song. One of the reasons WWFM never climbed the way it should have.

The Chicago Mix station has the exact same format as the "Takeover" but BTIKM isn't available to request. They have a "suggest a song" link and I just put it in. Anyone else (particularly Chicago area folks) want to also suggest it - maybe if they get several they will consider putting it on the list? www.wtmx.com/UMixIt.phpThanks! I suggested. OMG yay for spins!!! I have such a good feeling about this song on radio!!  I have a question for people who know music-y things. Last time Adam did EU/UK promo, he just had Monte and LP with him, right? I'm thinking when he went around to various stations and did mini acoustic sessions. If Adam is slated to go to UK in February, then that's too soon to do any songs other than BTIKM, and I can't see him doing old songs, right? So if he has any little performance thingies and sings BTIKM, does he only need keyboard and drums? I can't hear any guitar in the song, so I'm just trying to figure out how this might work. |
