Maureen Van Zandt is Stevie Van Zandt's wife. Of course she would say Paul Rogers was the best. She is a big Idol and rock fan and I don't know what it is about Adam that bothers her so. She is a big fan of Kris and Cook and always seemed angry that Adam's star rose higher than theirs. She loves them and that is fine. But when Adam got his Grammy nomination, she said he only got it because they wanted to stick it to KA. HA. They probably didn't even know or care about Kris. Stupid. And when Adam topped Forbes list of highest earning Idols, she was mad again and wondered why Queen paid him so much, lol. Maybe it was because he was the frontman and helped to fill up those arenas and earned every dime for his performances. I've seen Queen clips with Paul...didn't get the "sensuality" lol...just got the "guy can't hit the high notes" sense from the performance.

Well, Maureen VZ is certainly entitled to her opinion. She seems to be one of those people who decided early on that she was not going to like Adam and that's that. There is something about him that she doesn't like. You could show her all sorts of amazing videos of his great voice and fun interviews showing off his humor and personality and kindness and it wouldn't change her mind one bit. So there. She doesn't even mention Adam's name. I confess there are some very fine performers who I don't like at all for no particular reason. I just don't like them.
And Paul Rodgers filled the voice for Queen just fine for a while. Even Brian and Roger said it wasn't really the ideal collab. They oughta know. Apparently, Maureen doesn't know or care what Brian and Roger think, either.
And I always love those tweets from those who see Adam w/Queen for the first time and are absolutely thrilled and impressed.
I think the 21 Days of Adam Lambert is a very nice fan-connector for him. Nothing profound, but fun anyway. Gets the fans involved.

She went with her husband to see QAL at MSG (he probably wanted to go) and of course she came back and tweeted that she was unimpressed and there was something lacking from Adam. I guess she would think her boys Kris and Cook could do it better. But her husband did sorta give QAL a shout out for bringing rock and roll to the Oscars so there is that. Brian, Roger and Adam were redeemed somewhat at least in his eyes! HA.

I think that interview of one of Adam's best. He pretty much says it all, in his lovely, sensitive, heartfelt way. He knows that not every gay person has an accepting family. But he also gives good advice. He is such a good person.
