'Ghost Town' by @adamlambert was released as the lead single from the American singer's third studio album 'The Original High' this day 7 years ago, on April 21, 2015.
Adam Lambert co-wrote the song with Ali Payami, Max Martin, Sterling Fox and Tobias Karlsson, who has worked extensively with the Swedish-American rock band @thecarolinaliar. The tune was produced by Max Martin and Ali Payami, with Peter Carlsson producing its vocals.
'Ghost Town', which Lambert described as an "existential dance goth rave thing", starts out with a guitar and Adam’s emotive vocals. This massive synth-pop earworm with strong influences of house and EDM is centered around a spooky wordless whistle hook that is combined with a traditional chorus, like in several other hit songs, such as J. Geils Band's 'Centerfold', Roxette's 'Joyride' and Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger'.
