"The Joke" has been playing in my head ever since my first listen on Saturday morning. I think I may not have been mesmerized like this since "Believe". So I "forgive" Adam for wearing the ridiculous platform boots and the silly skirt over an otherwise pretty cool rockstar outfit. Overall I really like the lighthearted and more relaxed shows and Adam sure kept his promise of adding some rock'n roll to his setlist. I miss some of Adam's own songs - was surprised that he didn't do "Shady" - but the covers that he picked are good ones. I'm happy that he is bringing out more rock performances but I miss some of the sexy outfits. But I liked it more than the shorts or that frumpy stuff he wore in Vegas, lol. I get your point, and I have nothing against kilts and such but I don't think it works for Adam currently, rock star mode or not. Btw. I described the outfit as "silly" as I used Adam's own words from a recent interview where he suggested concert attire. I personally prefer "Key West/Sunfest Adam" over "Orlando Adam" and there's more to come(!), but what keeps me engaged mostly as of late is the voice or a particular song rendition. I am happy to see that he seems to be in a good place currently, which matters greatly. |

HA! Axl Rose has been known to wear a kilt so I guess with Adam in rockstar mode it fits. I'm happy that he is bringing out more rock performances but I miss some of the sexy outfits.
