I know we have speculated that Adam's rock opera was about Jobriath. But did we rule out Marc Bolan of T Rex? UK and glam rocker who died young.
Adam has said he will not be in the musical but will record all the songs for his album. He seems to have a lot of good collaborators for his rock opera. I guess it will open in a UK theater when ready but the album could be released earlier?

lurleene. I would love it to be about Marc Bolan. Think Adam would have loved him. And I’ve got an impression before that it may be a British personality. Maybe because Boy George seems to be involved etc,

Marc's group T-Rex did 20th Century Boy which was featured in Adam's favorite movie Velvet Goldmine and he has performed that song. |

Someone brought up the band Jobriath with lead singer, Bruce Wayne Campbell, a while back as a possibility. There's a fascinating interview from the keyboardist, Hayden Wayne.
From "Hayden Wayne-THE JOBRIATH INTERVIEW-December 28, 2009-A STORY OF SEXUAL BETRAYAL": "Jobriath is the name of the seminal New York based “glam-rock” band that performed January-September, 1974. The band featured Bruce Wayne Campbell, an innovative, classically trained pianist and singer, the first openly gay musician signed to a major record label. Highly controversial in its day, Jobriath’s influence on musicians continues forty years later."

The hints tell us that there are some heavy-hitter song writers on this project. Hope their efforts come to fruition and we get a great show out of it. It's fun to speculate who the story is about. All I know is that I am thrilled Adam is the vocalist on the album. And the people he is collabing with are all great connections, too. Fingers crossed that this whole thing happens.
In the meantime, QAL is fast approaching! Hope all goes well, and Brian stays healthy. So many fans have been starving for this tour.
