Too bad ABC (in the US) did not show the whole concert but only the few well known here acts. I’m sure we missed out on the better part because the ones I saw were so so for me. Especially the closing, totally underwhelming, they should’ve gone with some energetic British act. QAL not withstanding (lol) the big winner for me was the production overall with The Queen /bear bit (awesome!) and the B. Palace serving as a backdrop screen. Quite spectacular! The princes’ speeches were also interesting imo, I guess they are pros at this type of thing. would be nice to hear your impressions.

Brian May's coat is amazing! And very curious about Shosh's comment that she's excited for what's coming. Hmmmm....makes me excited that she's excited lol.
I haven't watched any videos of last night, just watched Queen's opening and the Queen's skit (which was adorable). But I did watch a little clip of Rod Stewart, and the man needs to hang it up. He has no voice left, and I used to love his music back in the day. Also, I can't stand Diana Ross's voice lol, so won't be watching that either.
I'll look for some clips of some of the others, but I don't even know who some of the other performers were.

I am also excited about Shosh's comment about what's to come this year and next. Gives me hope that Adam's star will continue to rise!
Brian coat is a masterpiece in design and messaging. He looked great in it!
Always liked Rod Stewart but haven't listened to his performance. Always liked his raspy rock voice as a young man. Doesn't always work on an older guy. And Diana Ross looked too engulfed in that outfit. Don't know about her voice. Something tells me that Adam's voice is gonna last through time. It's just that strong.

I'll look for some clips of some of the others, but I don't even know who some of the other performers were. Well, we do know about Adam being in a movie and a second season of Starstruck. Then there is the musical he has been working on. Not sure if Clash of the Cover Bands will reprise itself…kinda doubt that one. The music from the musical will lead into an album and I think Adam implied …a tour of some sort. I wonder which would be is first —the music out or the musical? A musical would take a lot of time to organize, and it seems he has been doing a lot of that “under the radar”. Ie trips to New York, and even looking a real estate there. Rumours about QAL doing other gigs…no proof those snippets of info are accurate. When did he find the time to bedazzle his suit coat for the Jubilee? Haha Nice to see😄 Brian May is on the front page of our newspaper (up on the lift, along with the smoke, playing his red special). Adam and Brian are in a photo along with other photos of performers beside an article on last nights Jubilee celebration. The picture was titled… Adam Lambert singer- songwriter and Queen. Kinda sad that a picture including Roger was not used! Onward with the latest tour news to keep us floating along in fandom.

I watched the opening on DVR for the first time this morning. It was spectacular! I will say that as someone who has heard Adam sing the same songs over and over again and who is 'intimately' familiar with his voice as we all are... I could just hear the almost imperceptible effects of adrenaline at the beginning; the tiniest bit of hesitancy. It didn't last and most folks wouldn't even know.
I also noticed that he adjusted his earpiece often and wondered what was up. After the show, he was so wired up that he tweeted and retweeted more than normal and one of the things he said was that the crowd was so loud that he had a difficult time hearing himself. That certainly explains the earpiece adjusting. I believe that the audience is muted for the broadcast, so we wouldn't know. I do so like my questions having answers. Thank you Adam!

You're right, Stampsgal, that might be what all Shosh was talking about. I'm always really bad about putting together timelines, so I just hear snippets here and there, but never consciously sit down and put all the info together, especially when some of it is a year or more down the road. I'm more of a day-at-a-time kind of gal lol. That's why somebody's birthday or a get-together always catches me by surprise...I always figure I have more time.
Re Roger, I sometimes feel kind of bad because it seems like the emphasis is usually on Brian, or Brian and Adam. Although, at this point in his career I'm sure Roger doesn't really care.
