And on a side but totally unexpected note, The Queen and I have the same china pattern!!! When I saw the latter part of this video on twitter yesterday (the full video hadn't aired in the US yet) I couldn't believe it and spent an hour digging around in a storage closet just to prove it to myself. I mean really, who besides the Queen uses their fancy china regularly. Of course this is probably her everyday china and she uses it like I use Corelle. This video shows it much better; Royal Doulton - Canton. Yesterday was a delightfully fun birthday! That is just so cool!!! I know right!!! Proof, although I know ya'll believed me .

Love that longer version of the Queen and Paddington Bear. The "sandwich in the purse" thing was so cute. The Queen's purse, as why she carries one around wherever she goes, has been a bit of fun for decades. That humorous bit was very funny! She has a good sense of humor.
Just watched a bit of Rod Stewart and Diana Ross. They were just fine and the crowd seemed to love them. They are legends in their own right and deserve huge applause. Watched Queen's part multiple times today. Just jaw-dropping.

Linda, it's beautiful China. My paternal grandmother used to collect China teacups and saucers. She had loads and loads of them. When she died pretty much everybody in the family ended up with at least 1 or 2 of them. They were all different patterns and colors.
I have one teacup/saucer that I got when my grandmother in Germany died. It only has sentimental value, but I remember admiring it in her special little cabinet when I was only about 6 or 7. I was so touched that she left it for me.

I just watched a clip of Diana Ross on Youtube, she sounds really good for her age (voices do age), but I've just never liked that little-girl voice of hers... Rod, on the other hand...hasn't been able to sing for quite a while now. He was never a great singer to begin with, although I loved his early music, but now he pretty much just talks...sometimes you just need to know when to retire.
