Another great performance by Adam. Could you hear anything different about this version? It is in a lower key. The original version sounded bright and crisp. This has more weight and feels more pensive or melancholy to me. What do y'all think? Can you hear the difference? Yes, BIG difference! To me, the original was lighter and much more refined/polished. This version is definitely heavier. Do you think it's just exhaustion? Is this pre-recorded? Or was it live tonight after doing 10 shows at the O2? I was thinking the exact same things, seoulmate…

This was prerecorded during his shows in Florida according to gelly.

There is a backing track for that performance cuz I can hear orchestral instruments that were definitely not there. That would lead me to think it was pre-recorded at the lower key, not something done at the last minute because of vocal fatigue. But, with current sound technology, perhaps they can electronically lower the key of the pre-recorded backing track.

Yes, years ago Brian's guitar tech mentioned in a video about the electronics equipment that he had a device which would allow Brian to play in chosen key and the device could output it in a different key. Don't think it was used often, but definitely the technology exists. This was around the time of the 1st QAL tour, so about 8 yrs ago. I'm sure same can be done for orchestra.
