Today I told a colleague of mine who sings as a hobby (she's in our workplace choir) that I listened to a stream of QAL concert during the weekend, and she said she's heard Adam's name being mentioned as a great singer and was curious to hear him. So I told her I'll send her a few videos. She was curious to hear Bohemian Rhapsody, and I thought I'll throw in Somebody to Love and The Show Must Go On as good showcases for his voice. And Who Wants to Live Forever and Under Pressure perhaps. So I'm looking for good videos of these songs from the Rhapsody Tour, either from now or from before the pandemic. Anyone has a recommended video of one of these songs saved and within reach? Thank in advance!

So multiple costume changes for last concert? I thought maybe the embroidered king jacket needed repairs as I didnt' see it in the crown pictures, but then saw it in a picture earlier in the show so maybe it was needed to replace something else or he just wanted to switch things around.

Translated from Dutch LIVE REVIEW: Queen + Adam Lambert put on an all-encompassing show in the sold-out Ziggo Dome. ➡ nine32.nl/queen-adam-lambert-ziggo-dome-2022-live-review/ "A large part of the song is sung in chorus by the audience. Goosebumps." twitter.com/NINE32MAG/status/1543605318642536450Queen + Adam Lambert put on an all-encompassing show in the sold-out Ziggo Dome After two years the time has finally come: Queen + Adam Lambert in Ziggo Dome. The band plays two evenings in the Amsterdam hall and both have been completely sold out for a long time. We visited the second show on Saturday 2 July. What does the band bring to the public after two years of waiting?
It seems to start a little before 8 pm: an instrumental version of “ Innuendo ” fills the hall. The exciting and constructive tune turns the audience on: there is clapping and cheering. It really kicks off a little after 8pm with “ Now I'm Here ”. The big round screen goes up and drummer Roger Taylor appears. Guitarist Brian May comes up from a moving platform and Adam Lambert comes down the stairs singing. One thing should be clear: all show elements will be deployed tonight.
It is impressive to see how vocally strong Adam Lambert is. It doesn't matter which genre he sings in, it comes in, it's convincing and it's incredibly pure. And it seems easy for him too. In “ Killer Queen ” he sits quietly on a platform, fluttering a fan, while he sings one sentence after the other into the hall. In addition, Taylor and May also take care of vocals: “ These Are the Days of Our Lives ” is sent by Taylor and on “ '39 ” and “ Love of My Life ” it is May's turn.
“ Love Of My Life ” undoubtedly creates the most beautiful and intimate moment of the evening. Intimate in a sold-out hall with 17,000 people? Secure! Because for a moment you imagine yourself in a small setting with May on a simple bar stool in the middle of the room, where the telephone lights form a starry sky. A large part of the song is sung in unison by the audience. Goosebumps. The song is also dedicated to people we have lost and in particular to Freddie Mercury.
The smaller this moment is made, the more that is unpacked at other times. During “ Bicycle Race ” Lambert sings the song while lying on a rotating motorbike. In “ In the Lap Of the Gods ” the lights and smoke are played in such a way that the floor of the stage seems to change into water. At “ A Kind of Magic ” both May and Lambert shoot fireworks into the room. In terms of elements, the disco ball steals the show at “ I Want to Break Free ”. And let's not forget that guitarist Brian May puts down a fantastic guitar solo while standing at an unprecedented height on a small platform. Then there is also continuously played with the screens and lights. It's just a big spectacle.
Queen + Adam Lambert really gets the whole room along with the last four songs : “ Radio Ga Ga ”, “ Bohemian Rhapsody ”, “ We Will Rock You ” and “ We Are the Champions ”. A sea of arms and every track is sung along word-for-word. Before the encore, images of Freddie Mercury from the iconic Wembley Stadium moment are shown. The “ Ay yoo ” is therefore loudly sung as Mercury once envisioned it.
Queen + Adam Lambert is putting on a show today that you expect in a room like the Ziggo Dome, but which you hardly expect it to be possible. You really forget that Brian May and Roger Taylor have already passed their 70s, because the energy that is blown into the room is high. What a wonderful evening!
