Well, Adam may be vaxxed, boosted and already had Covid, but that's only partial protection from getting it again. People are getting reinfected all over the place. And being that they're all part of a tour, it may be their choice, but there is a huge fallout from that choice. I realize it's everybody's choice, but it's still surprising to see, considering Covid has NOT gone away. I remember feeling surprised to see photos of Adam clubbing during the tour. I know he's a social creature, but in this case, I really don't get it because, like you said, if he were to get Covid it wouldn't just affect him - it would shut the tour down. I guess Team!Queen allowed it...I would assume he wouldn't have done it if he were expressly told not to...but it still seemed like an unnecessary risk, given the situation itself is already risky enough. But I'm still being super careful, so I suppose I'm partially projecting my own concerns onto him. Yeah, The Rolling Stones had to reschedule one show and completely cancel another after Mick Jagger caught Covid. And G’R and the Red Hot Chili Peppers both recently postponed shows because of illness, I don’t know if it was Covid.

I find it interesting from the POV of covid “protocol” which is supposed to be in place for the tour. I see Brian and some around him masked, Roger and Adam are not, Oliver visits freely, they go out with no visible care…so seemingly there are no meaningful precautions on the part of the band themselves aside from possibly Brian. but So far so good, fingers crossed, even though (at least) O2 was infections central. Only 10 shows left. Agree…. I have been wondering what their insurance situation is with ref to Covid. Perhaps they are uninsured, and the venues too, if they have to cancel shows because of covid and can be seen to be taking few precautions. Someone who has shared a drink with the tech crew in a bar, told me that she had had to test negative as they were in a ‘bubble’. But in reality, that’s a situation that must be very unreliable. I would have thought that being in a bubble would mean no outsiders. Seems as if they are just hoping for the best. Certainly Adam seems to be out and about a fair bit. And if they didn’t catch it at the 02 which must have been rife with it (I caught it and just about everyone else I knew there) then they must be made of very stern stuff - and long may it continue!

I flew to Bologna on May 19, and was surprised at the amount of Israelis on that flight. Well, it turned out they flew to see an Eric Clapton concert on May 21, but during the flight the news broke that the concert is cancelled because Clapton caught Covid.
That is not to say that anyone should behave differently. I've seen people who were super careful all the time, wearing masks and doing everything by the book, and they still caught Covid, and others that lived in the same house with their partner and children who all had Covid, with no masks and no separation, and still never caught it themselves. So you never know.

It seems that people are making choices based on what they think is or is not a risk. Buy Covid is still out there. I went to see "Elvis" and half the people wore masks and the other half did not. Even tho the theater was only a 3rd full (and people were not on top of one another) and I am boosted, I chose to wear my mask. I figured it would not hurt and this was my first time back in the theater.

Adam and the other non-maskers are making a choice, but I'm not saying it's a good one. If it was me, I'd mask up. The non-mask choice does potentially affect other people around you. People are just playing the odds. There is definitely an uptick in COVID in the US. My state of Illinois has seen an increase in cases. When these huge acts like the Stones have to cancel or reschedule shows, that's a big deal. I sure hope QAL can finish this tour COVID-free and get themselves home safe and sound. Adam has a busy year ahead of him. Just because he had COVID early on and is vaxxed and boosted doesn't mean he can't get it again.
lurleene, I've been wanting to the "Elvis." It looks pretty good to me. Hope you enjoyed it.
