Adam has so much natural talent but it was nice to see him mention the bit of opera training again. Don't care if he does a musical or not but so wish his talent could be showcased in work he wrote/co-wrote and performed outside of pop. Tho he has some outstanding cuts that highlight his vocals and emotion on his albums but only fans heard them. Fingers crossed for the rock opera album. My first reaction was how very rare it is for Adam to talk about himself on Twitter or Instagram. Loved reading this and knowing it would add to the buzz around his Nessun Dorma performance - especially as he almost always completely downplays any opera training in interviews. Nice restrained bit of self promotion. It's so frustrating to know that so much of Adam's exceptional talents are seen and heard only by his own fanbase. QAL has allowed so many new people to become aware of him, and many even decide to listen to Adam's solo music. But largely, Adam's solo music is enjoyed by his core fans. Seems like Europe (in general) is very welcoming to him, doing lots of interviews and TV shows, etc. I know the QAL tie is stronger there. But I wish the US media would do a fraction of that. I realize that Twitter and Insta go everywhere, but still, I'd love to hear at least a mention of him doing Nessun Dorma, for example. It was a pretty big deal in rock concert news. Or maybe I just missed it. LOL And yes, lurleen, fingers crossed for the rock opera album. |

But in all fairness, Adam gets a lot of press coverage in the US when he is promoting new material or he performs on some big US specials. When QAL toured in the US, he and they were on tv. But with so many US acts looking for attention, he does not get a chance to showcase his own material as it does not sell or is not promoted. So he will generally sing a cover when he is invited to perform on specials in the US and he has been on many. |
