Reading some of the comments under a facebook post of the Nessum Dorma clip (I think it was posted on a previous page)..."he's no Pavarotti". Well duh, that one died...same as Freddie. All I could hear was Roger's voice "people are so fucking unimaginative" lol. I'm finding it difficult to put into words how asinine a comment like "he's no Pavarotti" is in this instance. Without even getting into the merits of Adam's performance, no matter how considerable they were, one thing is blindingly obvious...Pavarotti wasn't just an opera singer, he was known as one of the greatest operatic tenors of all time. Adam? Isn't An Opera Singer. He briefly trained in opera as a teenager. I would argue the opposite argument is more relevant - Pavarotti was no Lambert. Of course he was a brilliant opera singer, but how would he have done as the front man of Queen? How convincing would he have been singing the Adam Lambert catalog? Adam's special sauce isn't just his incredible voice, it's his incredible versatility as well. I don't know enough about opera to evaluate Adam's "Nessun Dorma" in technical terms, but it was gorgeous and absolutely credible. To sing "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Nessun Dorma" in one concert, and perform both at such a high level, is a rare gift indeed. Here is Pavarotti singing Queen. Although Brian doesn't have a strong voice, the emotion he conveys makes me feel something. Pavarotti on the other hand sounds like an opera singer singing Queen I think. I wouldn't listen twice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7FGPIRJx6I

Translated from French I can't believe that at barely 18 years old I've already seen my two favorite bands 🤩 well certainly for the 2nd one it's not exactly the original band but it's already incredible! Thanks to my parents for allowing me this 🫶🥹 Imagine Dragons - 2018 Queen + Adam Lambert - 2022 twitter.com/KonoIloDa/status/1547338289895677953

In an earlier post Cassie mentioned that her sister didn't like Adam's voice. Tbh I understand this very well as I don't like Pavarotti's voice. I heard him several times live, I admire everything he's done and I fully understand why he is one of the greatest tenors ever. But I still didn't and still don't like his voice, there is something unpleasant in it for me. Just a personal example of something hard to explain...
