Watching Nessun Dorma for the 100th time and seeing the publicity it has generated, has made me think of the pure courage Adam showed in singing this. One off note or a crack in the voice would have been circulated and commented on ad infinitum. Would have been used by every detractor… He took an amazing chance - and of course, it paid off in spades. Bravo indeed Adam. I didn't see any media mention here in the U.S., but that's the way he is treated here... ..had an opera lover call me to tell that a YouTube recording made it to her Facebook page. -dedicated to Birgit Nilsson- and advised me to listen to Franco Corelli's Nesun Dorma. So I guesss the good news is that the performance made it into the opera appreciation world and they are comparing Adam to the very top level tenors ever existed. I did patiently explain that Adam had just several months of classical training... He is really brave. And excellent in every way. Adam's Nessun Dorma performance posted on Classic FM's FB now has 1.5M views and 5.4K comments. The comments have been overwhelmingly positive. |

I saw a convo o Twitter where Shosh said something about October and someone else pointed out that John Legend is in LV in October. So who knows…

nica575, I think if any other American male pop star had sung Nessun Dorma, (and been overseas at the time, as Adam was), they would have gotten major US media coverage. Adam continues to be hidden treasure. Drives me nuts.
