I didn't see any media mention here in the U.S., but that's the way he is treated here... ..had an opera lover call me to tell that a YouTube recording made it to her Facebook page. -dedicated to Birgit Nilsson- and advised me to listen to Franco Corelli's Nesun Dorma. So I guesss the good news is that the performance made it into the opera appreciation world and they are comparing Adam to the very top level tenors ever existed. I did patiently explain that Adam had just several months of classical training... He is really brave. And excellent in every way. Adam's Nessun Dorma performance posted on Classic FM's FB now has 1.5M views and 5.4K comments. The comments have been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you, pi! i read about 200 “most relevant “ comments - an interesting read actually, made me laugh seeing everything from “no one is better than Pavarotti “ to “everyone is better than Pavarotti”. ...lol. Like always in any public forum. (Also a link to an amazingly sublime performance by Jussi Björling (long gone) which I’ve never heard before) i was hoping the Classic FM was an American station, but no, it’s UK. So nothing for the USA so far. |
