I think Starstruck would do fine with just three judges as long as one of them is Adam Lambert.
That kiss between Adam and Oliver is so romantic. That yacht vacation looks so glamorous.
I watch Bill Maher regularly. I love his show for the most part. But he does his share of fat-shaming. He brings it up now and then. Sure, too many people are overweight, esp. in the US. But Bill makes it sound like it's very simple to just eat less and lose weight. It's not that simple for many people. Bill is lucky he's one of those people who does not struggle with weight.

I agree. I remember in high school there this one girl and we were not friends but friendly rivals, lol. Since middle school, we often competed in the same little pageants. When we were both nominated to run for Miss Freshman in high school, I thought, HER again. HA. But we did have this unspoken respect for one another. Then junior year she went from thin to overweight almost overnight. By senior year she was really obese and her confidence had disappeared. Then she got involve with this abusive guy who treated her like sh**. My guess is there were health or some kind of emotional issues at play and not that she suddenly started to overeat. I felt sad for her because she looked so unhappy and uncomfortable in her own skin. But high school can be such a cruel time for many. |

Ha, I was just telling my hubby that earlier today. You have to really like each other in order to tour together for 2 months straight and then choose to vacation together. Sarina is just gorgeous. The pics of Adam and Oliver are adorable. Re Bill Maher, he tends to be an ass most of the time, but I do agree with him occasionally. Losing weight is most often not just a matter of eating less, so I don't agree with the previous attitudes of fat shaming. Not everybody can be super model thin. On the other hand, I also don't agree with the fat celebrating...do agree with him on that. Too many people die from side effects of obesity, heart issues, diabetes, etc. Seems there should be a middle line somewhere, but we are, as always, a country of extremes so it always seems to swing from one extreme to the other. Let's encourage people to be as healthy as possible, but let's not shame people for their struggles. |
