It’s a huge problem for smaller artists (including solo Adam): When people have to pay a big amount of money to see the „big“ artists in concerts, then they have to decide, whom they want to see. The result is, that people go and see less concerts, which automatically means, that smaller artists are the losers of this system. The amount of money that people can spend on tickets didn’t explode like the ticket prices. In terms of Adam particularly, I am wondering how many of his fans prefer seeing him with Queen versus solo, though one event shouldn't necessarily influence the other considering that QAL happened in Europe and the mini tour is happening in the US, assuming that a fan would be happy to see Adam in any format. Then again, for someone who gets to see Gaga in the city nearby not much $$ will be left to arrange a Vegas trip to see Adam on Halloween weekend, with Covid still being a reality. That could only affect fans, who traveled to see QAL in Europe and have no money left to travel now to see him solo. But I doubt that this would be many. Since Adam hasn’t played any solo concert in Europe since 2016, there had barely ever been a conflict between Adam solo and with QAL here. Also, Adam’s solo tickets in Germany were about 33€ in 2016 and about 42€ for the cancelled tour 2020 (no M&G or extras available for 2020). Most people would be able to go and see Adam here, if they wanted to. I also don’t expect the ticket prices to change much for any future tour, so in comparison to QAL the Adam tickets are cheaper here than in most other countries. But first he must come here.... To add: If I really had to choose between Adam solo ore Adam with Queen? I would choose the latter. It’s a 2,5 hour show, probably the best act currently on this planet, Adam in all his glory with the best „backing band“ anyone could dream of. Also, QAL won‘t be there forever. I would just hope, that I can go and see Adam solo another time.

I thought Adam's solo concerts sold pretty well. Has he had a problem with the fans not buying tickets? I think this is the first I'v heard of this. But I guess with Covid it is still a problem.

I think the discussion was about ticket/concert sales in general, per an article somebody posted. No idea how Adam's tickets are selling...maybe somebody can chime in on that. Also, if mods see this post, maybe we can go back to posting his solo dates on the front page...pretty please??

I saved and budgeted for near a year to go to QAL in Stockholm. I never would have done that, except it was tied to a visit to my husband's sister who lives in Sweden, and our niece. Needless to say, it's been a few years with Covid since we could see each other in person, and not on zoom. Plus, we brought the sister as our guest to her first Queen concert - well, it may also have been her first arena concert/rock concert.
So we had 9 days to visit with long-missed relatives.
But that obviously impacts whether I can afford to go to California/Vegas for Adam's solo shows. My heart says yes, but my brain says no. (But I would choose San Diego if I had to go solo. Love that city.)

I've checked the seating chart on Ticketmaster a few times and would have thought that more would have sold although 2+ months away. I have bought 5 tickets, sold one and have two more listed. I'm going to Vegas for the Wednesday and Friday shows. Although thinking about it, I'd rather see Adam when it wasn't Halloween so we'd have more music and less costuming.(and makeup) Haven't checked the CA shows.
Haven't counted but I would guess maybe less than half sold.

With the addition of the California concerts those venues as an option, are doing better as a draw. Only 200 tickets plus per show approx. not sold as yet.

You know...the problem is...that no matter how one might like to go to a show....everything BUT the show has become a real chore!
Flying has become a nightmare...seriously...especially when there are connections to be made. Airlines pack you like sardines, cancel flights, and raise prices as much as they can. Airlines are becoming as immoral and deceitful as big pharma or oil now.
That is not even taking into consideration that folks have en masse decided to throw caution and care to the wind and burn their masks. And then there is Ticketmaster!!!!
My less than 24 hour trip is costing me over $600 and without the help of a member here it would be closer to $1000 and I would not be coming. If the airlines cancel my flight as they did the last two times I flew I suppose that is still a possibility. Fingers and toes are crossed. I am not surprised at all that people are thinking twice about travelling and concerting.
Eta..those numbers do not include extras like food…drinks..extras

I was not going to go because it was Vegas, been there done that a number of times. I ended up biting on San Diego. Haven't been there since Adam played the fair. Ended up finding a room walking distance to the Balboa Theatre and Alaska Air had a fare sale from Seattle to SD. And it's not cheap to travel but I haven't seen Adam do his own music in years so I am looking forward to that. I missed the TOH Tour, my daughter was diagnosed with a nerve tumor and things were too uncertain.
I will put the Tour dates up since there isn't any other news

Yeah, I think sometimes people don't realize there's more to going to a concert than just buying a ticket. So many factors that just make it either too difficult or impossible to go see Adam (or any other performer for that matter)...and it has nothing to do with having lost interest, or not being enough of a fan.
