This Taylor Hawkins Tribute is going to be a big deal with lots of exposure. Many performers. Roger, Rufus and Brian are performing at the UK concert and the LA concert. Kesha will perform in the UK and Miley in LA. The London concert will be broadcast on various formats including a 1hr special on CBS US and MTV Latin America. TAYLOR TRIBUTE LINES UP TV PARTNERSFoo Fighters’ all-star London celebration of Taylor Hawkins has secured an array of TV partners—Paramount+, CBS and MTV—to beam the 9/3 concert into people’s homes. Paramount+ will livestream the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium beginning at 11:30am ET/8:30 am PT. Pluto TV will carry the concert internationally and MTV's YouTube channels will distribute it globally online. The channels will also offer on-demand access. CBS will broadcast an edited hour of the tribute concert at 9pm on 9/3. MTV will air that edit around the world on 9/3 and 9/4. Just before I read the Taylor Hawkings Tribute post, I heard it mentioned on the radio this morning. My ears perked up when I heard Brian May's name. This is very much a big deal. Lots of big names. Should be interesting to watch.
Like that promo of The Witch Hunt! Fun to hear that Adam's name on Twitter does get a huge response. LOL We all know that's true. Hope the Witch Hunt tickets are selling well. Should be a fun show.

So the Dave Grohl mention being a singer for Queen in this tribute, is a bit confusing. Roger is an artist in his own right anyway, so all of these artists I think will probably fit into the Foo Fighter songs and Roger/Rufus can play the drums and Roger could sing too. Sophie B Roger and Rufus may be involved but No mention of Brian May or Queen. So the Dave Grohl mention being a singer for Queen in this tribute, is a bit confusing. Roger is an artist in his own right anyway, so all of these artists I think will probably fit into the Foo Fighter songs and Roger/Rufus can play the drums and Roger could sing too. If it is a take off on the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert ….they sung Queen songs…so assuming they will play Foo Fighter songs. The Foo Fighters often covered a bit of Queen. Somebody to Love (was part of their last tour) or Under Pressure were more often played. Under Pressure was Taylor Hawkins‘ favourite song. So I expect them to play them. „Them“ meaning the remaining Foo Fighters accompanied by Brian and Roger. Roger will sing. Who knows, who else. I‘m not sure, if Dave is suited here. Brian and Hawkins also worked in the studio together. So Brian could do something else as well. But all together it expect a FooFighters show. With the usual 1-2 Queen covers. This is not a party to celebrate Queen after all. |
