Thanx guys for the birthday wishes. Been laid up with the flu for almost 7 days and today is the first day, I actually feel decent. Today I am offically a senior according to Social Security and I have filed and will begin collecting after my first month of being 62. My biggest birthday present of all is that my son, who is 14 almost 15, gets to collect the difference between what I collect and my maximum until he finishes HS. He will just turned 21 when he finishes HS. He's adopted from a foreign country and got a late late start in life. It will be a nice college fund along with what we put away for him. My fingers and toes are crossed that he will progress to be able to attend. Today is a good day. I am so happy Adam is staying visible and we knw what is happening with Adam #2.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SMOKEYVERA[/b] God Bless you raising a 14 yr old. I'm up north watching a 6 yr old and a 14 yr old while the 18 yr old has her regional swim meet today and tomorrow. Just the running around with kindergarten, gymnastics, enrichment (where she is now so I can come home and check on Adam), etc is enough to wear me out. I actually had to make a note so I didn't forget anything or anyone. One totally cool story: My daughter and son-in-law went down to Univ of Pgh where the meet is being held, at 1am, **1am**, 17 degrees, to make sure they got seats for today's events(and have to do the same thing tonight for tomorrow's) and while waiting for ticket office to open at 7:30am, were socializing with people behind them. Everyone got to talking about sleeping out to get tickets for this or that, mostly Buffet, it seems, but one man piped in that his wife and daughter slept in sleeping bags in Times Square to attend a concert.... it was Adam's. My s-i-l snuck a phone call to me describing my daughter rolling her eyes and admitting her mother was an Adam fan, too. The man, instead of being condescending about his wife's actions, told my daughter that he took them to both Cleveland and Erie (first 20th C Boy,) went with them, and had a really good time, praising Adam and the show, even though he's a jazz rather than pop enthusiast. It's the little victories in life that mean the most.

I don't think Adam would change what he wants to do not be influenced by s boyfriend so that he'd change his look. He's fought too long & hard to be himself. I do however think he has decided, for right now at least, that this is how he wants to present himself. Hopefully get everyone off the eyeliner line of question. Fondly remember David Bowie & Madonna switching up for each album.

I was unofficially announce to be Cook a couple of weeks ago -- but I was told by someone who works for RCA it was suppose to be a new song from his album. But not surprised it is a cover -- that is what Ruben did, and others. Regarding Adam -- I do not want him doing the boot song for Idol -- he needs to move far away from Idol integration -- he should be on the show for a Pop star appearance and leave. Like Gaga........ ETA -- Adam on Idol 2nd Week of March is a rumor -- nothing more. Possible -- but no confirmation. And I think the Blondes making something special for a big Adam performance of Aftermath makes sense. And Idol is a likely place. When you say something like that last statement, then I look at your impressive avatar, it inspires me to believe, sistah, BELIEVE!! From your mouth, or keyboard, to God's ears. No offense to anyone else, but there are 3 people on ATOP who, when they speak, I listen. Not that I think you have inside information, just that your powers of deductive reasoning reinforce or trash the flights of fancy I take periodically. Now we just have to wait and see if my confidence is well placed. You aren't feeling any pressure are you? It won't bother you if you are wrong and my dreams are crushed, will it? Like I said, no pressure.

From what Adam has mentioned, sounds like he's planning a very introspective album (theme-wise) and maybe this look is more in keeping with that. Whatever he gives me, I'm sure to love it....

Zinnia wrote Can you hum a few bars, for us gelly, of what you are hearing in your head? ;D hah, yes, please do! I think not being able to envision it contributes to the angst, at least for me. But, if you want to know the truth, *whispers* I'm always nervous before Adam performs on TV. : Ever since Idol, lol. I know he'll be fantastic. And yeah, I loved WWFM with the lasers and I never saw that coming!
