Is it appropriate to discuss Tommy on this forum? If not, fine but I know that some of you have met him, and the guy is just such a puzzle to me. Wonder about his true persona. Since Tommy is a member of Adam's band, he would seem to me to be a valid subject to bring up here. I've never met him but I follow him on Twitter. What puzzles you about him? |

Did I miss someone saying Adam's look is more manly? I don't recall anyone here saying that. I have seen Glam man, gorgeous, hot, and all the other words we've usually used to describe him. Cookie, I don't have a problem with anyone saying Sauli is more masculine than Adam's other known boyfriends. Adam himself has described his type as a "pretty androgynous elf." Sauli doesn't fit that type is all, I think was meant. One of my daughters is more girly-girly (more feminine?) than the other. They know it. It doesn't make one better, just different. I love Adam in feathers and bindis, or in leather trimmed suits, or that current fabulous olive green coat, and I think that's true for most of us here. And I think my own language gets as slippery as anyone's, so I'm not even pointing a finger at anyone in particular in this instance. In RL I have a large and somewhat weird vocabulary, and I love being able to use the exact right words for things. Except I don't know the exact right words for Adam a lot of the time. Because he is so comfortable in no particular box, its hard to use any one particular vocabulary for him. That sounds muddy to me. But most of us have been really taken with Adam's current look, and here and other online places I hear loving, affectionate, even amused references to how masculine it is. And that doesn't feel like the right word to me, even if I don't know what the right word is. Same thing with Sauli. I saw a reference to Adam now having a more masculine boyfriend. I think I know what they mean, but I don't think they have the description right. Adam talked about maybe needing to look for a new type, which Sauli seems to be now (although in the younger pictures, he looks pretty PAE). But I'd feel better if I felt like I'd found a word that seemed more accurate. For someone who keeps saying she can't find the right words- I've said a lot. I need to stop until I've found them I think. |
