When I see Adam in the pictures with the olive coat, I see a young edgy music executive. He looks like someone that running a company that's new, hip, and on the rise. It's a look of calm confidence. I get the impression that at this time, no matter how much stuff is going on around him, he is centered and the essence of that is a projection of himself that is more powerful.

Rad- I think you are spot on. I was chatting with someone at ALF in connection w something else and she raised a concern that she felt some fans were making well-intentioned comments re Adam appearing 'more manly' and 'mainstream' lately w less make up, less 'WeHo' - and how this was a sign of him becoming more mature, comfortable, authentic, whatever. Now I feel ATOP wholeheartedly loves Adam's changing looks and ascribes no agenda other than Adam's characteristic 'wear what I'm feelin today.'. AND I think there's no shortage of love love love for Zodiac/OTT Adam round these parts! But for any outliers I gently submit that Adam has made it clear (with lots of photographic evidence) that he embraces 'the queens of WeHo' as family. Suggesting that a more 'straight acting' Adam is somehow better steps on some sensitivities - j/s. (I hope I don't need a sofa to hide behind as I'm currently w/out furniture. Actually any suggestions re where to find attractive sofas gratefully accepted - no country or floral themes but also not all low and super modern:)). Mika- Do we even want to know where your furniture went to? Does it vacation without you? I've been trying to decide what I wanted to say about this, and you just said it for me. I think people make a mistake if they equate Adam's new look with manliness. or even describing Sauli as a more masculine boyfriend. That makes me squirm. I think Sauli is less theatrical in his presentation (at least what we've seen- we shouldn't feel like we really "know" much about him) than many of the people in Adam's life. And Adam may be making less theatrical choices after spending 6 solid months on a stage. But I would be completely surprised if he doesn't get tired of this look in a bit, and then he'll knock our socks off with something else. I agree. Adam moves from one persona to another. He did the ultra-glam for FYE and GNT, now he's just feeling a little dfferent vibe. I don't think it has anything to do with Sauli or his "manliness," just Adam being Adam. I don't think there will any swing away from his WeHo ent roots, just that he's off the clock right now, he's chilling, and even things like the Grammy's, he's just presenting a different side. Good for him. If he shows up tomorrow in his Leno outfit and hair, okay. The night of the AMAs, I felt as close to throwing up as I have since I was 10. When a few of the first "gates" transpired - like the SuBo thing- my stomach was in knots about repercussions. Now whatever Adam does is or doesn't do at any given time is great and I am confident it will turn out the way it turns out. Back to the "you can't please everyone" mantra. Adam is so much his own person that second guessing him is futile and insulting to him. Just like any one of us can go from brunette to blonde just because, so can he move between styles and personalities. That is why we find him so interesting.

Even with full makeup, I have never seen Adam as not masculine. One of the fascinating things about Adam, to me, is he has such A strong masculine side and Feminine. I see the masculine much stronger most of the time, but he isn't afraid to embrace the feminine. He is redefining labels.
Sauli: He fits the PAE description to me. His personality seems more in line with Brad than Drake. Adam said he loves fun, goofy humor. That is something Brad and Sauli both appear to possess.

I made a new account, but Amazon Japan wanted $45 to ship, so I decided to wait and see if HMV will be able to deliver on Mar 14, the new date. HMV charges $15 delivery. Changing the topic: How is the AO GN cd/dvd deluxe edition different from the Amazon or Barnes&Noble editions? $45 for shipping??! Um..... And here I was all excited b/c I though $15 was a remarkably good price for the mag itself. Didn't get to the shipping figure. $60 is a little more than I was thinking about paying for a mag. Even a *really* nice one. Hmmm...need to think about this. Is HMV promising to deliver, just later than originally expected? I don't mind waiting. You can also get the magazine at Magazine Cafe. The mag is more expensive, but the shipping costs are considerbly less. stores.magazinecafeny.com/-strse-5106/.Movie-Star-cln--April-2011/Detail.bok

What did I miss? How did Prince William get in here? Is Adam invited to the wedding?? ;D ;D ;D LOL, no jazzrocks... you didn't miss anything. When we moved here to ATop#2, Q3 said she might be adding more smileys... And I asked for this one--> or this one--> or even this one--> The "smiling smiley" we have right now has Prince William's mouth, which just doesn't cut it for me. LOL... it doesn't really matter, cause I have all my favorite smileys saved, anyhow!

I’ve been skimming, so am probably missing the point of the on-going conversation this afternoon. However, I do want to mention that I watched the two most recent episodes of “RuPaul Untucked” last night. Raja has a lot of screen time where he talks about himself and other queens. I tried to imagine him and Adam interacting together, chatting, at the beach, playing, doing make-up, etc. We know that they are good friends. Raja made a comment that he had finally decided it was OK to be feminine, because that’s who he is. I remember Adam emphatically saying that he doesn’t do drag, but he obviously enjoys having Rajah as a companion, like a girl friend. I doubt that his relationship with Sauli is the same, but who knows? In any case, most of us behave differently with different people.

Thanks wal!! seoulmate just one more just to confirm out theory and i'll stop. Imagine Adam waking up to this I could not even get into the Sauli and macho vs PAE discussion because of pictures like this. However you view him, he is totally adorable, but his PAE credentials are un-impeachable. I"m not crazy about the manliness discussions, either, because it is such a relative term. Adam is so hot whether he is being sweet and reserved and we are saying, "Awwww," or striding across the stage ready to take on the world and we are saying, "Roaaarrr," or however you spell it.

For someone who keeps saying she can't find the right words- I've said a lot. I need to stop until I've found them I think. Cookie, You're doing it perfectly because you listen and care. I don't think you need to worry about parsing language too heavily. And I don't know anyone - man, woman, gay, straight, trans - who doesn't find gender a trippy area in terms of language. The background to my remarks was a few posters (very very few here) have been making comments that made encouraging noises about (insert influence or recent epiphany here) leading Adam to be (my words-they use less neutral terms) 'less glam' - and there's a bit of condescension attached - like Adam's outgrowing something or improving. Truth? The ladies with whom I was chatting (re charity:water initially) were more disturbed than I (shamefully I tend to forget the significant lesbian representation among Adam's fan base) and wondering how to address it in a way that people would understand the concern in context. Mostly, I don't bother because frankly, for good or ill, my expectations re that sort of understanding are quite low. But a recent post - not today and clearly well meant - felt a bit like a lugy of negative stereotype. I was hoping someone would pick up on it and comment, but didn't happen. So today's discussion seemed like a reasonable place to raise the issue. (I consider my duty to the cause fulfilled and am returning to general complacency, highlighted by my appreciation for lovely men, bad television, old movies and questionable literature. Big big hearts to you~~~ Hahaha... I don't see Adam's new look as "growing or improving".... Adam is just being Adam! He is multidimensional and never boring, because--- HE doesn't like to be bored. But I am irritated that he has not shown us his #NudeOrCloseToNude dimension. Until he does I will NOT be satisfied.

Some Sauli stuff - I found an interview from spring 2009 at Sauli's and Niko's fansite and translated parts of it (there was some BB House things, other irrelevant things and Niko's part which I didn't touch). Being a bit late and me tired - there might be some major translation/vocabulary-black-outs ??? so humour them and try to figure out something out of them ;D . Sauli's answers in blue. At the time of this interview the boys were pretty busy together doing jobs the BB House "fame" brought to them and were popular. This was an written interview so the smileys are his. Has the publicity affected your relationships? Have all your old friends stayed as your friends? Publicity has not affected much my relationships, and all my friends are still my friends. You just have to keep your feet on the ground and not to agree to do any stupid things. About publicity – is it like what you thought it would be like? It is just normal life. Of course part of it is that people recognize you at the streets, but when you just go on with a smile and are nice, you can live pretty much normal life. How about fans, how does it feel like to have fans? Do they know how to behave themselves? Well of course it is great. But it is a bit hard to understand why they want to be my fans – it’s funny . But they do know how to behave themselves, yes. Three most important things in your life? Friends, family, health.Where would you like to travel next? USA againYour favourite way to spend freetime? Lazy around at home, eat and go to movies. And of course if not working, I’ll see my friends . Have your family and friends suffered because of your publicity? Not at all. It depends so much of what kind of picture you give about yourself. The only downside is that there is not enough time too see them as often as one wishes. What things you have wanted to keep private? Well, things that I want to keep private I will not be telling here :D.Have you been harassed? Not much. Though there have been a couple pretty bad ones…What would you change in your fans? Nothing!Have you learnt something from your fans? Yes, it is worth to believe to things your fans believe in, because those things often come true. What’s your most valued thing? Straightening iron… ;D Most peculiar thing your fans have asked you to do? Well, one asked me to make a child with her… (I didn’t agree to that). What is the best advice given to you? Live to the fullest. What is your favourite food? I love food so much that I don’t have any favourites. Homemade meatballs and mashed potatoes, mmmm. What has been the most bizarre thing you have been asked to do? To pose nude (for a magazine) What are the stories behind your tattoos? They are pretty personal ones. Do you think you will be doing more modelling jobs? Not so likely, I don’t think that I’m that photogenic. What’s your favourite colour? I don’t have any favourites, depends on the day so much. How about exercise, what do you do? I jog and go to gym

Clicked on the link. It doesn't give any real details. It only says it is planned to include 3-4 bonus tracks. I'm going to wait on this, cause I'm betting the Japanese version will turn up on cdwow sooner or later and for a lot less money!!
