“I’m incredibly honoured to showcase alongside amazing designers this season, it’s been incredible to see the community pull together at a time like this,” says Harris Reed, who documented the sheer volume of work that goes into staging one typically eight-minute presentation on social media. “It instils how important fashion is at times like these. Fashion helps us dream big. It brings joy.” When Reed ushered in the new season on Thursday night, to the sound of Queen frontman Adam Lambert singing “Who Wants to Live Forever”, there could be no doubt that his campy sequin-fuelled extravaganza boosted the mood of everyone in attendance. Royalist or not, this sense of levity was much needed.
