I wonder if that Autographed Versace Jacket happens to have a particular "hand wrap" in one of its pockets.....

Kinda like this top comment on the BTIKM youtube (which is at over 640k):
Adam, wherever you want to go, we will take you. Whatever you want to do, we will support you. If you sing, we will listen. If you act, we will watch. If you design fashion, we will wear it.
Just giving you a taste of what you have given us.
with love,
your fans ♥

With all of the great photos of Adam out there, why can't THR use a good photo? Can't wait until they release the Trespassing Era photos to the press. Are you talking about this photo? 'Cause it's always been one of my very favorites. I think Adam looks stunning here.

Just an FYI -- do not get fans to expend too much effort on Z100 -- will not be needed. Intriguing. Care to share?

I'm forever posting at the end of threads, and I never do this, but I'm bringing over the post I just left on the last thread. Was thinking about bringing it over anyway but after reading Juniemoon's essay I decided to do it. Juniemoon, re being weird -- I remember thinking when I was a teenager "dear god, don't let me be normal" (and I feel that's a quote from somewhere, but have no idea where), but the older I get the more I realize how 'not normal' I am. My kids have been kind enough to point it out to me too, lol. Not that any of THEM make any attempt to be normal. But I used to try, and I put up a pretty good facade. But it got much harder over time to pretend to be anything other than who I am. Which is sometimes very good and sometimes very bad and sometimes very embarassing. ... Love both the posts quoted above, but especially the bolded part of rabbitrabbit's post. I guess I have a tendency to do a little navel gazing too, lol. I believe in the power of visualization and the setting of intentions, but I'm not as good as I'd like to be about actually using that in my own life. I have friends who have successfully used this approach in their lives, and my daughter does so regularly with remarkable results. And letting go of expectations and attachment to results has been incredibly difficult for me, but I've actually been able (forced?) to learn that over time. Adam for me is an example of someone doing just what rabbitrabbit has said -- setting his intention(s), putting them out to the universe, and creating abundance in his life -- both literally and metaphorically. I am one of the people who finds that Adam's voice resonates for me in a powerful way. But POSSIBLY even more important than the voice for me, is the fact that I admire the way he lives his life -- especially his courage and determinedly positive energy. None of us are perfect, but I admire his ongoing effort to live his dreams and continue to learn and evolve. I'm attempting to do the same thing. Blah blah blah. I have said a lot of these things before and I'm tired and feel like I'm stumbling over my words. I have very little time to stan right now, but I'm ok with that. I've been stanning since May '09; time to be a little more present in my own life. I have big things I would still like to do/be/experience. I am looking at era 2 with a mixture of excitement and detached curiosity. There has never been any doubt in my mind about Adam's success. I can't and don't want to predict the degree of that success, but I have no desire to nitpick or worry about it. His talent is being recognized, he's being given tons of opportunities, people are flying in to LA from all over the world to interview him (to me this HAS to have significance), and lots of people appear to love the new single. I feel it's likely that Trespassing will be more successful, possibly a lot more, than FYE. There will always be people who don't care for his voice, his style, or whatever, but most of them aren't 'haters'. Everyone has obstacles, and Adam has actually, I feel, broken some of them down already, for himself and probably for others who follow him. For myself, I suspect that I will love a lot of this new album and era, but that there will probably be a few things that I don't like as well as the last era. That's just life. And reality, lol. Didn't mean to go on so long, and I won't be surprised if when I hit 'post', I'll find the new thread is up. Oh well! p.s. Also love this part of Skylar's post: Thanks babs12 and holst! We live in an era characterized by "over-sharing," but one thing I realized, working on the essay, is that true sharing, even of a small thing, is a risk-taking act. I am *very* fortunate to have a sister who is also an Adam fan. I can share everything with her without judgment, and vice versa. ksha518, I loved what you wrote here. I don't seem very weird to myself (LOL) and probably look like a soccer mom, but I have always have offbeat ideas about things on the inside. Never quite fit into any group. Somehow never able to "buy in" even though our society values that above all things. As I get older I find that being an outlier doesn't bother me quite as much as it used to, but I admit I still fear being an outcast -- that's no fun either. As holst said, it's all about the safety, and that is more rare than it should be. Like you I don't worry about whether Adam becomes the be all and end to the rest of the world. I never liked what the cool kids liked, at least not at the time when they liked it. (Loved Johnny Cash in high school when he was the least cool thing in the world. So funny that many years later he became the hipster's fave). The visualization sounds good but it is much harder than it sounds. Somehow, it's easy to see that visualizing having a crummy day or crummy outcome certainly works, but visualizing having a great day or great outcome is harder to buy into. I guess it's a way of being self-protective. I don't know about all of y'all, but I was raised by Depression-era parents who really ingrained the notions of "don't get a big head" and "don't think big or you might jinx it." I find those notions in my head a lot to this day. I like what you said about the "stanning" (even though gawd I hate that word LOL). I've never stanned before Adam and I over-stanned last year to my own detriment. I'm not about to get off the train now that it's finally leaving the station, but I learned some lessons about myself for next time (as in, take a break). I love what you said about Adam transcending his own music and performance for you. I feel that way as well. He is a total babe and has an amazing voice, but there is much more than that. A way of being, inspiring, and making us feel a flame of individuality ignite inside. That is missing for me when "stanning" hairstyles, clothes, or gossip. (This is in NO WAY a dig at those who enjoy it! Please go to town and enjoy the fun!) It is present in Adam's musical energy and spirit. And so happy days are here again.

*comes out from lurking* hi everyone! *waves* so i'm pretty new with all things Adam, but have seen people referring to different wolf ideas when it comes to the BTIKM music video. so i'm just curious that where did they come from? did someone say something about there being a theme like that in the video or did someone just randomly come up with the idea or what? ;D this seems like a pretty cool place now i just need to read through more threads to be more on top of things! Welcome, fellow Finn! You will have fan playing with us!

Hey, what about those ideas about the BTIKM vid? I know for sure mine wouldn't turn true cos it's ridiculous and cheesy but come on, Adam and wolves.. unf!:D So, the boy the man and his wolf. The wolf who IS the man. Like the alter-ego idea and the werevolves idea combined?:D 1. dark, the wolf is leaving, defeated, Adam's making him go away, turning his head to look back, gone. 2. flashes of everyday life: Adam's in the street, in the sudio, people talking at him, smiling at him, reaching to him, fans, suits, Adam's talking, smiling at them, taking photos - colors muted, voices muted, dull, too fast. Almost at the corner of the camera's vision - the wolf, still following him, hiding in the shadows. 3.the chorus - flash-backs, Adam and his wolf, running together or smth, free and joyous. (gosh, I'm like marvelling at my corniness, srsly) 4. again everyday routine, it's spinning around, gaining speed, the wolf's eyes flash green and all stops. It's dark, Adam's lying on the grass, the wolf comes closer and sniffs at his face. Adam opens his eyes, looks at him and smiles. He stands up and they walk down together to the city lights below, their shadows becoming one. 5.Wolf's eyes in the mirror, blink - and it's Adam, smirking. He goes down the street, colors bright and alive, whips around to sniff at a pretty boy passing him by. The boy blushes and smiles, Adam beams at him, the end:DDD :-[ :D I really like the wolf scenarios and hope the mv is something really edgy and interesting similar to your thoughts. Really can't wait to see what they come up with because FYE has always been my favorite of Adam's mv's.
