That’s more or less me, when it’s about Adam’s solo shows. Nothing since 2016 in Europe either. And I must confess, that I lost interest in these US shows, knowing that I won’t get one of them anyway. Same for all these TV shows that I can’t watch in my country. Someone speaking from the heart haha.

I'll admit that Adam's solo shows with a lot of OTT makeup and costumes are not my favorites. I enjoyed them early in his career but not so much anymore. I really loved what he was doing with Velvet, with his band and backup singers, before things were cut short. Sexy outfits, performances and makeup not too OTT. However, I still hope his solo efforts do well and make many fans happy, even if I don't attend. Because if his solo efforts do well, it will keep him on the radar along with Queen. And he will get more tv exposure like the Oscars, Girl Crush, Elvis and Believe where spectacle was not needed to hold everyone's attention. And Closer To You on Corden and A Home for the Holidays and Superpower on Strictly in the UK. He looked great and his performances were stunning. I was playing some of those performances last night, along with TSMGO (from the live video). Thankfully Adam never needed to rely heavily on dancers to put on a great show. But when I see older acts like Janet, Jlo, Xtina, Ricky Martin and Timberlake still showing up with the dancers, it feels as if they didn't grow and never matured. It helps and seems a good fit with their Vegas Residences but they can't seem to perform anyplace without them. I was looking at a recent video of Xtina and she looked so dated with all those dancers and OTT looks. And unlike Janet and a few others, she can actually sing. So I will be fine if Adam does not put together another tour with her, lol.

Adam's solo tours in the US or Europe or anywhere else would be more likely if he had a strong album that charted fairly well and that had songs that were heard on the radio. But that hasn't happened in a while. Velvet really had the potential, but COVID turned up and that was it. I'm hungry to a real solo tour, too. But I think we'll have to wait for the next album to emerge, and that will take a while. He is sure keeping busy with other stuff, though, and of course there is QAL.
I love Oliver's voice. It's sweet and a bit sassy. He doesn't have much of an accent, either. Seems like a fun person to have around. I wonder where their relationship will lead going forward. Oliver likely has some kind of job plan. Guess we'll find out.

I just don't think solo tours are as lucrative for Adam as his QAL tours, especially without new music. He can only recycle the same old songs so often, I would think. And if he can't fill larger venue, would a tour really be cost effective? I know every fan wants him to come to his/her town, but it just doesn't work that way. It has to be cost effective, since there a lot of people involved in a tour.

His solo tours were never as lucrative as QAL and that is understandable. But when we got solo tour numbers, it was reported that he made $5-6M after expenses and before taxes on those tours. They don't even report the smaller tour numbers now but when they did, he always did better numbers than most Idols who were doing basically club tours and really tiny venues in the US. With the new label and new music, if they can get his music out worldwide, Adam may be able to do solo world tours again that are money makers. If not, he can still make money with the solo residencies and targeted tours. It will not be QAL level but it does not need to be that to be successful for him.
