I've always loved Elton John. Huge talent and a kind heart. He sure had bumps in the roads of his life, but he came out on top. His award is well-deserved.
Just thinking about Starstruck. He said that those judges who had new albums to promote sang a solo song on the show. We did hear that Adam also sang a solo song on the show even though he doesn't really have an album coming out anytime soon. Can't wait to hear what he sang!

Very moving to see Elton receive that award. When I saw the movie Rocketman, I did not know the Elton with the wild feathers, crazy costumes and OTT headgear. I came to know him, along with his great talent, as a serious artist with stature who wore flashy jackets and interesting eyeware. He rose above his past and became a great advocate and role model for his community. A much deserved and earned award.

The Global Citizen Festival in NYC CP is streaming on YT and they had a short “history “ footage with highlights of every year for the 10th anniversary. The beuatiful Adam’s face closed the tape! I really didn’t expect that! I’m sure someone will create a little rip of the moment soon.
