Looked up ‘Woke’.
Seems it originally pertained to being aware of racial injustice but now is appled to awareness of any social or political inequality or lack of inclusion.
Strictly this year has two same sex couples (male and female) and for the last few years has included a dancer with physical challenges.
Too ‘politically correct’ for some it seems.
That snippet of the song is glorious.
His performance of Superpower on Strictly is one of my all time favourite Adam videos. This could be even better!

Here is a Billboard article about Adam returning to WMG and signing an EastWest record deal. www.billboard.com/pro/adam-lambert-record-deal-eastwest-warner-music-uk/At the end of the article it says: "In a statement, Rhino UK svp Myn Jazeel dubbed the U.S. born Lambert "somewhat of a national treasure in the UK" given the singer's high profile partnership with Queen, his performance earlier this year honoring another beloved Queen - at the Platinum Jubilee concert, marking 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II - and his role on the hit ITV talent show Starstruck." "He's also going to be hugely visible on national TV soon and, this combined with his new music, will delight his passionate fanbase, while showcasing what an incredible vocalist and performer he is to a new, even broader, audience," said Jazeel." Hmmm - "somewhat of a national treasure in the UK" - sounds as if they may be focusing on building up his popularity in the UK.
