I think Josh is a great singer too but not as diverse. But it works for him. A net worth of $25M and several #1 songs on the adult contemporary.I often wonder if Adam would have had more chart success if he had gone for other genres and not just with pop. His first album/singles with RCA did very well with a combination of pop/pop-rock/glam-rock. But when RCA changed regimes, they said Adam saw himself as pop/pop dance and wanted to go more in that direction for his second album. But in an interview, TPTB said they saw him as more pop-rock/rock but let him Executive produce his 2nd album and do what he wanted. It went #1 but they didn't support it much so nothing did well. Then RCA turned around and wanted him to do a rock covers album. So clearly they wanted rock and not pop/dance and dancers from him. But he did not want to do a covers rock album at that point in his career and that was understandable. When he later joined Queen, my bet is they would have loved to have him still on their label. Withholding support is what some do when they want to make a point. Justified or not. Happened with Kelly Clarkson at RCA. Very successful 1st pop album. Then she wanted to go more rock. They did not want her to go in that direction so the support was held back for her more pop-rock/rockish album and it did not do nearly as well as before. Then she went back to her original pop style. They were happy and the support and success followed. So what they wanted from her was the opposite of what they wanted from Adam. I think RCA would have supported Velvet as it was not heavily pop but we will never know. I just hope Adam is happy and he and Warner UK are on the same page. He deserves that. He deserves support. I think we will never stop wondering "what if.." given Adam's immense singing talent and potential after Idol to become a mega star. For me, comparing him to Josh G. is like comparing apples and oranges as the only thing in common may be the voice, so I won't even try to go there. I think that a lot of new artists don't fully realize that the music industry is a business that can either support you or hurt you. Additionally, you have to establish and/or keep your fan base. In Adam's case coming from Idol, he was lucky to have acquired a solid following already, however he may have gotten ahead of himself a bit and taken too many "risks" too early. Adam has gone through many transformations since it all started for him, and I can't say that I love all the changes. Still, for me the constant is his voice and it keeps reeling me in.

I like John Groban just fine. Good guy, very good voice. Very talented. He's just too vanilla for me. I wish him well in his Sweeney Todd role. I've seen professional performances of that show several times and I enjoy it a lot. Good luck to him! I Love Adam so much because of his edginess even when he's performing a fairly traditional song. He just brings a vibe that makes it a bit sexy, no matter what it is. Can't explain it.
Is the BBC video of the song available? The one that shows him thanking the dancers? I must have missed it?

I can't get enough of watching Adam sing MBTB. His voice and delivery was so great. Also the dancers are not just great but the two men are evenly matched in height and size so they look so good dancing together. If they had been an odd looking male couple, with one much taller or a lot bigger than the other, I don't think they would have looked as sexy and alluring. Great performance by everyone.
