By the way... all the discussion re. Adam/Madonna talking about "light side versus dark side" is kind of a non issue because 99% of pop albums have up/light/party/club songs and down/darker/angsty songs. Every artist pretty much does songs with different tempos from lighter to darker. When Adam was talking about having both dark and light sides being on his album, I was like "yeah, well, of course!"   |

I am pleased to read about the new musical director. First, I love his jazz and classical background. That training gives a HUGE theoretical and technical base for a musician. The deeper this base, the more creative and flexible one can be with the music. Second, a musical director has to be a leader and a communicator. I don't know anything about Cam, but she seemed to kinda fade into the background on and off stage. When I heard she was taking on the role of musical director I was surprised and a little disappointed. She is adequate on the keys, but, as many have said, Zack was more interesting and creative. This guy looks to be creative and outgoing. Third, I think bringing in someone new as a leader of the musicians is smart. When you take someone who has been a "buddy" with the other members of the backing band, and elevate them to a new position over the others, it can cause friction and discomfort. Better to have someone come in at that position with credentials and no pre-conceived ideas about the band members and work closely with Adam to create his vision. Just my opinion. I know nothing about the personnel in Adam's band, really. cassie, about Cam as the Musical Director position, I think it's mostly fans speculations or some fans wanted that position to be given to Cam. About Kevin, I agree with you. I think Kevin's a perfect replacement of Zack, the first musical director. However, Zack has to leave Adam to touring with his band. Kevin's also Rihanna's keybordist. I'm just hoping he will stay as Adam's Musical Director until the end of Trespassing tour. Please... don't leave Adam please.. |
